So I ran into Rob Decker at the park today (he walked out of an employee gateway next to Slingshot), he asked me what does CP need...I don't remember exactly every word, but it went something like this (and yeah, this is my opinion):
Me: CP needs a good woodie. (Decker nods)
Me: An indoor coaster...
Rob: With lots of theming?
Me: yeah! CP needs a lot more theming in their rides.
*Rob goes on to say that he needs to go to Hershey Park & check out Laff Trakk.
Me: one more good family ride.
Rob: a water one or not a water one?
Me: both.
*Rob goes on to tell that STR wasn't much of a success as they planned and I said they should get an Aquatrax then asked if they were to take STR out, how long would it be...he said he doesn't know. Rob said coasters take a couple years, flat & flume rides take about a year.
Me: Oh! & CP needs a really good thrill ride.
Rob: Have you ridden Sling Shot yet?
*BLAH. He goes on to say that in the next five years, CP will be changing it up.
You must have missed the numerous times the webcam was focused on it this season. It wasn't pointed that way because it is a cool looking ride, it's because they are going to change it. *End Sarcasm*
There wasn't any clue that I remember about MS. The most we had on it was a tweet from Tony with a POV of it saying we might want to check it out.

Let's remember that DK did say Windseeker was going to target thrill seekers. I would't really consider that much of a thrill. So we will see how "thrilling" the new ride is.
Clearly, you miss the main thrill of Windseeker, which is "Is this thing going to break and leave me dangling 280 feet up in the air?" ;)

^^SkyRider would come to MiA before Mantis. Depending on how much the cost actually would be at least. SkyRider matches the parks capacity to an extent.
SkyRider is for sale. Wonder if they'll pull a Demon Drop and just decide to move it to another park in the chain if no one buys. Scrapping it can get some money too though and it does have a problem upkeep cost.
Also, according to what Tony tweeted in response to someone, we'll get an update on Monday regarding the announcement. No streaming, just a press release: https://twitter.com/TonyClarkCP/status/505700607387508736

I don't know who mentioned this, but I was reading on facebook last night that Mantis was going to be dismantled after this season and sent to Canada's Wonderland to replace their old Stand up. This was posted by some fan so I'm going to take that with a grain of salt.
I'd take it with a grain if salt too. They're going to use that land to expand the water park most likely.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

I hope the ice show continues next year. The show is great, and overheard some people this year saying the show alone was worth the price of admission. For 2015, expect the unexpected.
The success of Cirque Imagine at Kings Island, along with Skeleton Crew at Cedar Point, makes me wonder if the ice show will be replaced by a cirque-style production in the near future.

I just don't see Mean Streak becoming King James. I also don't see King James becoming a permanent name. I think they'll announce the ride that will be King James on Tuesday and use it until the end of this season.
I Agree with this, It would constitute as a "Major Announcement" in Ohio.
It also works with the timing of the announcement, capitalize on a slow news day after a holiday weekend and use it to hype Halloweekends.
