I figured it out. They're turning STR into an Aqua Trax.

Im thinking the announcement will involve a 2016 teaser as well. With the demolition of Cedars and ice show building and the moving of perimeter road in prep for a "major" ride for 2016. Kinda like the land prep work of WWL for Maverick.

That'd be cool if they did multiple things within next two years. Repaint Mantis/Floorless. Repaint Raptor, Remake Mean Streak, add dark ride, and bad to the bone rollercoaster by Raptor to those dorms.

Here's what I think the announcement will be:

1. Mean Streak will be closed all next year in order to get the RMC treatment. (That's why Tony suggested we ride it).

2. Mantis name change(temporarily King James),new paint. Makes since to have green paint with the name Mantis.

3. New thrill ride (Rougarou) for Blue Streak midway and other improvements. Pirate Ride building--???

4. New Pavillions

So you're predicting the exact same things Kevinj and CPboy77 already did, got it.

Except for #4, of course, which is clearly a game changer.

My official predictions:

1. There will be some disappointed people on here complaining about how it wasn't what they want/predicted.

2. Quite a few of you will be wrong.

3. Some new member will join and complain about the addition and state that he/she could probably run the park better themselves.

4. If the Mantis & Mean Streak refurbs (as in Iron Horse & Floorless/Sitdown Conversion) aren't announced, everyone will want to start a 2016 thread because they "swear" that'll be the year for them (as this year and last year were supposed to be as well).

Any wagers?

Let's remember that DK did say Windseeker was going to target thrill seekers. I would't really consider that much of a thrill. So we will see how "thrilling" the new ride is.

I think you are 100% correct, but don't forget the person that claims they knew what was coming all along but didn't post anything because they didn't want to spoil it.

Anyone who actually knew wouldn't come on and claim they actually knew.

My predictions:

1 - Cedar Point announces some new stuff for next year.

2 - There is much butthurt and anticipointment on Facebook and Pointbuzz.

3 - ????

4 - Profit.

Magical Boo House (whatever it's called) is all decorated and set up for Halloweekends...so is a BS midway-makeover really gonna happen??

I don't see why not. If it's just a facelift, the demo of the PR building, and a new thrill ride that goes in that area, that could definitely be completed all in the offseason. If a huge, brand new coaster and main entrance can be completed in the offseason, I don't why a new midway, bulding demo, new flat ride, and landscaping can't be.

I definitely don't think it's out of the question.
