millenniumforever310

anyone else wondering if they'll have a platinum pass discount for Slingshot admission like they do for Skyscraper and RipCord?

Any word on how Slingshot construction is going? Has it gone vertical at all?

One section is up.

Seems to be slow moving. Only one section has been up since opening day!

The next sections of Slingshot are currently being stored in the parking lot beside Gemini. I know since I parked between them on Opening Weekend and last Sunday. :)

They are very trusting of people parking their cars. It would be most unfortunate to have someone back their car into the shiny new ride.

It's already scratched up in spots from manufacturing/moving it around anyways. But I see your point..just put in my two cents.

There was also a boat hull and cabin as well as a pair of Lighthouse Point cabins in the main lot back there on Media Day.. Not sure it's necessarily a concern of theirs. :)

Does anyone know the price point that Slingshot will have for admission?

I'd imagine we'll start seeing more up-charge rides scattered throughout the main park rather than stuck out in the Challenge Park. They'll gain a lot more exposure that way and will be more likely to find paying customers.

Does anyone know why the initial design was to group all of the up-charge rides together, outside of the main park? I can't think of any other parks that do that, and I'm wondering what the original intent was.

On media day I followed those 2 cabins from rt.2 exit at Huron right up to the causeway.UGH. They were swerving all over to miss low branches and slowed to a crawl at traffic lights.

I would think most of the original intent had to do with hotel guests. Since you have a lot of people staying in that general area, having Challenge Park open an hour or so later than the park gives them something additional that they can do.

Looks like Slingshot will be more than one color...
