Slingshot Details?

I wonder how successful the Challenge Park concept actually is? Are there many resort guests who utilize the property after hours? There always seems to be a little bit of a line for Skyscraper. It would be interesting to see the park move the Challenge rides into the park. On a separate note, is the Subway/Tofts even open in the Challenge Park area anymore? When I passed by four weeks ago, the place was pitch black during the middle of the day.

It's now an Auntie Anne's / Cinnabon. They were converting it which is why you saw it dead inside.

Getting closer, the seats/launch vehicle/whatever it's called is here. As you can see in the first photo there were a fair amount of people working on the ride.

From the looks of the 2nd photo there is a bit more concrete work to be done.

It looks like a different seat than the usual framed ball type of carriage we find on the others. Should be scary.
I wonder how difficult it would be to do four across on a ride like this? Or maybe two and two back to back? It might double capacity and make more money even faster.

SlingShot is testing! I was at the park around 9:30 this morning and I saw it shoot up! There are 2 seats and from what I saw they are facing the Gemini station.

Also, alot of landscape work has been done throughout SlingShot and Gemini.

Still no word on price.

Hmmm, so maybe we should expect an opening within this coming week.

My guess is Saturday. They had quite a few people working on it.

Yeah, I agree that he wasn't restrained correctly. Which is why it's horrifying, and not funny.

I didn't mean to offend...What I thought was funny was Janice's hysterical laughing. The more he screamed the harder she laughed.

Which only makes it that much more so not funny, IMO.

I thought that kid was just going to slide right through the harness!

From what I hear it will be 25 bucks and an extra 20 for an on-ride video.

Ouch. Hope there is some kind of discount for platinum pass holders.

It's expected for a Tuesday opening too...

The Slingshot at King's Island last year started out at $5 at park opening and the price increased throughout the day.

The ticket was good for anytime that day, no matter when you bought it.

Also, I'm looking forward to riding this one without the cage/ball around the seats.
