TwistedWicker77 said:I agree! It would be cool if they had 2 construction cams.

They had 2 with windseeker, so I don't see why they can't do that with gatekeeper as well.

TwistedWicker77 - I agree with you. Two cams would be awesome.

davidw - I do not remember two cams.

They has one cam on the stadium and I think the other cam was on the Frys stand next to Planet Snoopy.

I am sad. GOCC says that Iron Dragon vallied before the second lift hill. I wanted to look on the Dragster cam to see it. :(

This morning, Iron Dragon was valleyed after the final helix over the lagoon, just before the station.

What does valleyed mean? What or who is GOCC?

Vallied is when a coaster cannot make it through a block section and comes to a stop. Usually because of wind resistance/friction/improper loading etc.

It vallied just before the brake run going into the station this morning. They got it up into the brake run, then eventually sent out another train. My son and i were walking along by dragster watching that train that was sent out and could tell it was going to stall out again but this time just before the 2nd lift hill over the nasty green water. It was so close to making it up to the brakes by the 2nd lift but just didnt have enough momentum to carry the back end of the train up. I was shocked to see them send another train out with how windy and cold it was let alone empty. Not sure if they have sandbags or whatever to throw in the trains.

I went last weekend (10/21) instead of my usual closing weekend because I heard this weather mess was coming all this weekend. I hope CP puts up some temporary huge breakwall on the beach side (the crane's already there), namely by the GK construction site, after what I heard about Sandy's possible effect on Lake Erie Monday-Tuesday PM. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

And, just how do you expect them to put up a huge temporary breakwall up?

Idk if this is good news or bad, but the link to the live video cam from the website is no longer there. I hope this means that they are going to be moving it up to the GK site. Also, the webcams are down again, but we all expected that. Does anyone else have any other observations on this find?

I caught a video of them pulling the 1st vallied train up to the final brake with a cable on my girlfriend's phone. I'll see if I can post it on Youtube later and I'll put the link on here

Webcams are back up and man that does not look like fun right now. I did see a truck with a piece of track, so someone's still working.

After leaving Sandusky Monday morning, we headed out Rt 6 Eastbound and passed 2 trucks with track head to park.

Now that they don't need the parking spaces for guests, I expect to see many more shipments soon. They were supposed to start steel work Monday. But, delayed due to weather. They were pouring more foundations, though.

I hear work at the main gate has already begun, with turnstiles being removed. Well, maybe not so much yesterday. :)
