I love how they smash the two behind-the-scenes tours right next to each other. Who's going to run with me from MF to Maverick, at 6:30 in the morning? :) (not kidding)

Is the Behind the Scenes Tour of Millie be similar to Boo Buzz or will it have more secrets/spills/scenes to be explored?

Its not to much of a concern since its the only thing you can do at that time.. tho it could add one more hour of sleep... but then missing the donuts that were supposedly there last year.. (missed it then..)

There were definitely donuts last year. And I believe coffee. I don't recall if there was juice.

Coaster season is coming fast !!yeah!!!!!

Greetings everyone! Brand spanking new to the board, and I've got a question about Coastermania 2010. I'm a platinum passholder and understand that admission is free, but was wondering if you needed to reserve a spot in advance. I called CP a few weeks ago, and the lady who took my call didn't think so, but she wasn't 100 percent certain. I'd hate to get up there Friday evening and get turned away!

This will be my first Coastermania - hard to believe that three years ago (at the age of 30), you couldn't drag me on a coaster, now I can't stay away!

the only pre-registration is for the mini-golf challenge and the games of skill competition. They both happen simultaneously, so don't sign up for both. Also, and video submissions for the film festival have to be in by June 1st.

As a platinum passholder, is the only other thing I have to do is become a card carrying member of one of the groups? How would I go about this in the next 8 days?

Do I have to buy tickets, or just show up? How will ERT work on Friday night? Just flash the platinum pass, or some kind of coastermania pass?

Its not likely you'd be able to attend CM if you're not already a club member of some kind.

Yeah you have to have a club card and most clubs don't guarantee that quick of a turnaround.

You could just try to make friends with some club member. :)

You could just show up and try to be someone's guest. There are lots of people who don't have a non-club-member-guest with them.

Thanks for the tips guys. I can't be there on Saturday (the 5th) anyways but it was the ERT on Dragster that Friday that had me considering going. I guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks for the platinum pass ERT on Dragster.

Is there any real chance that something big could be announced at the "presentation" by Walter Bolliger? As in, even if we were getting a B&M next year, would it be announced at CM?

It is confirmed that we will have the 2011 announcement at the B&M keynote, so sorry that you are going to miss it.

Kyle - I joined ACE last month and it took them less than a week to get me my membership card. I have no idea if that's typical, but if you wanted to roll the dice...

I say you still show up with no card and see if they check for the card. The years I have been there they only seemed to care about the ticket. So just try it.
