They won't, but if the teases were any good, they shouldn't have to. It should all be obvious once the ride is announced.

I kind of like them keeping the secret. It will be SWEET once it is released.

Has CP always 'played up' to the public interest as much as is being done with what we think may be called Maverick? Just wondering if all of this specualtion is always typical, or is this out of the ordinary (and in that case maybe indicative of the size of the intended project)?

This is the first time CP themselves have played the game of teasing us fans and who ever looks at the blog. The only other situation like this was with TTD. Construction started early and CP kept quiet about it until January of 2003.

I'm thinking CP has something great up its sleeve on this one.

The word "unpecedented" kinda struck me from the todays blog title (def: Having no previous example) By the sound of things, this ride is not going to be comparible to anything......

Maybe they'll disclose what's going on soon. We'll see. Or, hopefully, they wont keep it a secret until next winter. That would be hell.

I do have to question the use of the word "Project"

Maybe this means more then one attract, or a new themed area?

I suspect, since they have already begun construction (footers) and the area can clearly be seen from other rides, they will announce it early just because there will be so many curious eyes, enthusiasts among them.

I recall Raptor was announced before the end of the season, and if I recall correctly, wasn't Mantis/Banshee an early announcment too?

Not that the numbers would be astronomical either way, but frankly I think more people would come to see the construction site knowing what it was. I dont know, announcing a new coaster thats being built seems like it would attract people. Then again, so would a "mystery ride".

I think this will get stretched out very long. But, I think we will tell just how long by whatever first "clue" they let out is.

I posted a question to them asking if "Project 2007" was unprecedented, or what happened with Mr. H., or both.

Lets see if they respond.

IMO, the word "unpecedented" is about the "2007 project" as a whole. Not just one ride. Maybe 2 rides a restaurant, a new path back to frontier town, and the worlds largest Lemon Chill Stand. :)

Here is my thought.....Move the Big Wheel back to Frontiertown to keep up with the "Americana Theme" and then...dismantle DT.(sorry DT fans) and build a "flying" roller coaster in its place.

I would love to see it back there at the back of the park. Something nice and gentle to provide a view of Frontier Town would be amazing.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I think it'd be uncomfortable to be on the beach with a flyer or maybe even a floorless because the sand would be kicked up in your face.

I just know that I am going to be "swinging" in the 2006 year with a smile on my face and let the Skyhawk be the shining star this year!! We can't forget about that can we?

Forget about what? ;)

Well maybe if certian people would give us some more new info on it (like testing) then we wouldn't be ignoring it.:)

I am just saying that I kind of feel bad for the Skyhawk...I mean it hasn't even given its first ride and we are already talking about the new one.

Are you kidding? That's the first ride I'm heading too on opening day! Well, I take that back, first I'll ride the Sky Ride, then the Train, and then running over to Skyhawk! Yeah, I'm lazy...
