I know it is a little bit early but I was wondering, has anyone recieved any information/ seen any building going on for next year? I am deciding whether it will be worth going for the new coaster or not for next year.

According to People in the Know(tm), there will be some great new things in store for 2004!

Soak City is getting a new attraction, and a whole new water park is being built at the Raddison. Lighthouse Point is also getting an expansion.

There will also probably be new food for 2004, with a rumored Bubba Gump Shrimp (which I cannot confirm or deny).

There will not be any new coasters for 2004, unless Dick Kinzel has something up his sleeve.

TTD should be very reliable next season, that'll be the same as a new coaster to a lot of people. If the only reason you'll come is for a brand new coaster, you'll probably be staying home.

Also, Gemini is getting reworked. I guess you could consider that new. RIP Six Train Operation, 1978 - 2003.

I doubt very much that Paramount would license the Gump franchise to their competition.

I was wondering about opening day for 2004. Since the first Sunday of the month of May is the 2nd., I figured it was either going to be the 2nd. or the 9th. Thanks for letting us know so we can begin counting down the days.

Well, I was going to make a new topic about this, but I guess it fits nicely here. We know that Corkscrew got painted already, and Magnum is getting painted, but apparently Iron Dragon is also receiving new paint. The track coming out of the station and most of the first lift hill had new paint as of closing day. It's going to be a slightly different color though, it looks as if they are painting it with the same color Magnum will be painted with. Although I'm not sure about the supports.

True, yellow would look cool but somewhat strange. Also, where did you find out about the yellow?

I walked thru a break area and looked at the support that was painted yellow.

And it looks like the Iron Dragon track is being painted the color Magnum is supposed to be. I find it odd that they're painting ID red/orange with yellow supports. Isn't it going to look a lot like Dragster?

I noticed the painting on Draggin' Iron as well. Yellow supports, eh? I'd think they'd keep the supports adifferent color from Dragster since it's so close.

Eww, yellow supports on Iron Dragon. Didn't the park learn their lesson when they violated Wildcat? Their choice of colors has been a little disgusting lately.

I thought thge track leading out of the ID station and about 1/3 of th way up the lift looked repainted closing day. Iron Dragon will look a lot better with the track repainted, but my god, no yellow supports.

That new color on the track looks awesome compared to what it was. I have some trouble believing the yellow support color, but I cant say I know it will or wont be yellow.

It seems like they were planning on opening the 2nd because the season passes expire the 1st, a day before opening just like always. Any reason why they'd change their mind, or is this just a coinicidence?
