Test Runs

Ok then maybe it is a train but then why did they not post any pictures on the website with the rest of them. When their are pictures we will know.

Big Jon, You are tooo skeptical of things. They wouldnt take pictures in the dark. I dont know what kind of flash you need to have to get a good picture of the train at almost 300 feet. They dont need to post pictures of the first test. If they will continue the tests tomorrow, we'll definatly see pictures. Its about time anyway, Almost a month left till opening day.

For one, that object in the first webcam photo looks exactly like a spoiler. I thought it was the support holding the twist also until I saw the refreshed webcam picture a minute later. I mean what the heck else can it be??

I have two questions would'nt they do a pull threw or so kind of a little pull threw becuase i don't think they would lanch the train with some kind of pull threw. My second question is did anyone save a pic of what they saw the lights on the tower or the train going up the hill?

There is no train in those pictures,adjust your gamma and contrast up in the first picture. The object you see is the structure coming out to support the twisting track. If that were the rear of a train, then according to the picture it is as wide as the supporting structure of the track,sort of impossible.

Ok MFJedi, then I guess in the second picture that support just kind of disappeared, right?

they did take down "topthrilldragster.com" maybe they are doing a large update with launch photos and movies...... ;) if not oh well.......

this is definately NOT a train going over the top... why not?? Because the train should be one the other side of the track at that spot mentioned. Just look at some of the pictures of the drop in daylight and you will see that, while going down, you will make a 270degrees right turn. At the point where this ´train´ is, the train should be on the other side of the track..

What ís interesting, is that at this moment there are two trains (green and blue) waiting at the brakestation and one is waiting in the station itself... If they test it today, will it immediatelly be a multi-train-test, or will they park 5 trains and fire one train a for a few times

No,the light changed and the supports appearance softened and isn't as noticeable. They would have said by now if there was a test. I know everyone is eagerly awaiting the first launch,but that wasn't it. Why would they do it when it's dark anyway? I would think they want to see the train on the circuit to make sure there are no problems,you just don't test things like this when they can't be seen easily.

Be patient,the test will come before this time next week,I really feel confident about it.

They tested WT in total darkness with only some lights turned on. and we didnt see any pictures of testing until much later. If i remember right, We also has a diary update just a few days before the acctual tests started. Just like this one. They double check everything, They wouldnt have a problem launching it in the dark.

I'm skeptical. While the picture looks convicing at first, shouldn't the train be facing the other way at that point?

Man I cant believe I thought that was a train! It is just the arm that sticks out to hold the twisting track. It is not a train.

i am not sure what that was but i dont think that they have started test runs yet

Along with the fact that the "train" is on the wrong side of the track, why wouldn't they just test it during the day? What would they be trying to hide by not telling us about it? I'm sure for the first test they'd want a cool picture that says "this was the memorable first test of the tallest coaster in the world", and it'd be a bit hard to take that picture in the dark. I really think they'd be more than happy to tell us when they shoot this thing off for the first time.

those were not pictures of a test run i was at cedar point working at the time the cam was saved and would have seen it .. sorry to be the bear of bad news.. they are suppose to start testing it either this sat or next sat from what i have heard !!!!!!!!!!

hey mantis man....where is the picture for millenium force that says...here is the memorable 1st run of the worlds tallest coaster......i don't think they give a **** ;)

Chistopher does have a good point i don't think Cedar Point really cares.

They took a picture of the first pole being erected, which isn't quite as exciting as seeing a train zoom over the track for the first time.
