now now children, calm down. if we wanted to battle over whos ego is bigger, then do it off the posting forum. the last thing we need is two people flamming each other. is this really what you want managers of CP to see? two people bickering back and forth? do you think they would want to hire two people like that?.. granted ive probably blown my chances of getting rehired, but i have the memories!! and thats something they cant take away. point: behave and fight ur flame wars off the forum!! J *slides his soap box back under his desk*
The typing style is a dead on match of the two trains. Neither of the so called "trains" capitilize their I's. They both also have bad use of the words u and what. My inofficial investigation using Word's highly sophistacated spell and grammar check is that they are the same person trying to save their own job.
Something about this train story just sounds wrong. Since I truly believe that the current human resources company line is 'We will begin reviewing applications after January 3rd.',I wonder who would give any info other than that. The only thing I wonder is if you couldn't apply online. I don't know about you, but the only rehire info I received was a happy holidays postcard that told me to apply after December 10th.
Does anyone know if they don't accept apps online from people marked don't rehire (because of points or etc.)?
I can't figure out why any hr person would give that reason (internet posting) for not hiring anyone. *** Edited 12/16/2004 10:34:04 PM UTC by 901liveson***
I agree with Fastball84.
Plus: You'd have to be an idiot to post some of the KaKa that has been posted by "employees". Think about it. Management reads here and so do the Uppers. Do you think it's a good idea to slam your employer and expect to be re-hired?
I don't work for CF and never have. What I posted above is just common sense, I would hope.

My worst was one day it was raining and this dude was blocking my exit I politely asked him to step outside of the exit so we could keep the ride going and other people could get through and he even more politely told me to **** off and quit being an asshole.
How about when I was working the entrance of Dragster and I got questions like "What ride is this?", "Is this the Top Force Dragon?", and one of my favorites is "When did they paint the magnum blue and raise it over 100 feet?" ANd how I got a 2 1/2 page guest complaint. Or the guests that decided that they wanted to throw the plastic waterbottle at me and act like they were cool. Oh the great times thast I have had there.....
Top Force Dragon? lol!! That's too funny! I've never heard that one before. Hearing all these horror stories while working on Dragster, I probably could never be a ride op on that ride. My roomate worked dragster last summer, she would always come back and tell us stories about the guests! You dragster ride ops put up with a lot of crap. I don't know how you do it! hehe :) I know I wouldn't be able to handle it.
My worst guest experience was this past summer when we were on like a 45 minute wait at Johnny Rockets and I was a greeter. This lady and her 2 female friends had just gotten a pager and I told them it'd be about 45 minutes. Well...they sat on the waiting benches in front of me and about 5 minutes later they asked why I hadn't called them yet. I politely told them again how long the wait was and before I knew it...the lady threw her pager at me and hit me in the face and stormed out of the restaurant! I had a lot of bad experiences with guests while I was a greeter but that was by far my worst!
MFforever...
The great thing about this is that I am the person who asked if it was the Top Force Dragon...lol.
I don't know. It seemed like it would be a hilarious, if not idiotic, thing to do at the time.

Magnum still rocks.
i had a couple of bad experiences when i was working at gun ball and half court hoops. when i was working at gun ball this guy came and payed for the 3 games for $5 and he saw nobody was winning so he offered to pay me for the prize and i laughed and declined his offer because they cost the park $50 for each prize and he said if i win i'm going to tell people you sold me the prize to get you more customers so i laughed and didn't believe him so he actually won and then he went around telling people that i sold him the prize and my supervisor and another employee overheard him say it when he told me and he got arrested i think.
other experiences are when i was working at half-court hoops and people would miss the shots and ask for another or they would say the rims are too small for the ball to fit. and i hated when they asked if the top thrill dragster was open every minute.
I didnt mean to offend you but that is one of the funniest questions that I got all summer. Sorry if offened you.
here was the top 5 worst question asked everyday
5.What time is the laser show?
4.Can you hold my Prize while i get on a ride?
3.What Time does the park close?
2.How much does your game cost?
1.Is the dragster working today?
i really hated #2 because they would ask and we have signs up to tell you.

No, I have the best worst question-
"Are we going to die on this?"
I always wanted to just say "yes" because everyone knows that is the reason why Ripcord is still being operated, right? :)
I got that on every ride that I worked on including Mine Ride and Power Tower. And thos rides are nothing.
I worked at an amusement park in Utah called Lagoon. I've had my share of incidents.
It was early in the season and it was my first season there. I was working what's equivalent to CP's Power Tower, and the day was going normally when I saw a guest hop over the fence and go to the restroom just across the midway. Then he came back and the employee checking guests in told him that he couldn't do that and had to go to the end of the line. He became pretty aggrivated but stayed on the outside of the line and talked with his friends, but as they went into the bullpen to wait for the next launch he hopped the fence into a restricted area and then into the pen with his buddies. I was at the platform and was told of the situation, but also told by my supervisor (who'd had enough crap for one day) that it was up to me to let them ride or not. He got in his seat but I went up to him and instructed him that his actions were not allowed and he needed to leave. I was polite and very calm at first but after his pleading and acting like we were friends or something he became intimidating. A security guard standing at the exit next to me wispered with a look of fear in his eyes that I could let him ride and it wasn't that bad. But I stood my ground and asked him to leave which he did. Now here's why the security guy was a little scared, the guest was a 6'8'' Tongan that obviously worked out. I'm barely 6'0'' and not exactly well padded with muscle. I was hoping I wouldn't wake up in a hospital the week after that happened. Even the security guy came up to me after closing and told me that it took serious balls to do what I did. I was scared to the point where it surprised me that I didn't wet my pants when he stood up and glared at me.
I worked in the same place as Trick_Shot. I will share two insidents. One of the things that gets to me is when a family member, or parent. Attempts to force a child, that does not want to ride, to ride. One day a man with his little girl wanted to ride Wild Mouse, a small rollercoaster. Finally fed up with guests forcing kids on rides, I looked at little girl and asked if she really wanted to ride, the father tried to interrupt me but i kept talking. Finally the father was fed up with disruption and left the ride. The Second story. I was working a classic rollercoaster at the loading area, named Jet Star 2. This night the park was hosting a Budwieser Drinking Party. At the end of it the park was over run be drunkeness. Most of them were leaving, but one left his group to ride my ride. I could see him stumbling around up the ramp, on this ride you must have two people to ride. He was by himself and informed him of the signs he flipped me off and got on. I politly asked him leave the ride, and he stuck out his tongue at me. After about 15 minutes of asking him to leave, and other guest pleading, he was pulled out by a few men, and dragged off by security.
