^ same here Jason. While it is nice to see what the ride actually looks like, from that height just wait until the park posts a POV of the ride...
A camera falling 300 feet would easily kill anyone below if it was dropped...anything is worth getting that first Youtube video of the ride up there though... :(

I noticed in this year's park guide that Windseeker is listed as a level 4 intensity ride, not the maximum level 5 of so many rides at the Point. Maybe it'll be more like the old High Roller at the Stratosphere, where the location was hair-raising but the actual ride was tame. Or maybe it's a typo. :)

Sweet. It's very bright! With the dampers in place, I'm still holding out for a possible CoasterMania! opening. The Windseeker ERT isn't until Saturday night. So, that gives them a bit more time. :)

If only they had the Windseeker cam operational after 10pm. That would be the cam to watch right now....
Sadly, the gondola going up and down isnt testing. Theyre still working on the problem that Wonderlands Windseeker found on its first day of running. I highly doubt it'll be ready for Coastermania. :(

Adam I admit I'm a little slow here. What's the problem that Wonderland's Windseeker is having? I never knew that they were having problems too.
The day after they opened, it was down and they're currently working on fixing the problem at Wonderland. And theyre also making the same modifications at CP and KI. If what I heard is true, the modifications could be completed today or by Wednesday. It's up to the mechanics at the parks and the ones from Mondial.

I had heard it was something also with the motor that spins the ride. Sounds like a KI dropzone issue. So any ideas of when they might really open these rides?
Yup, whenever they get done with the modifications and testing is done. :P
In all honesty, you cant put an exact date on something like this. Anything can happen within a week span.

SO just wondering, was there only really one public ride at CW (from the video above) or did it take several cycles with other people?
I think it ran from 5 till close.....not sure though.
Onsite update: I think they might be done with the modifications. It looks like theyre now finishing up setting the proxy sensors. So maybe testing is only a day or 2 away.

Well that was quick. Most of the WindSeekers aren't even open and an illegal POV video already appears on youtube.
Sadly, it will probably take someone's camera killing someone before people take this kind of thing seriously.

"Most aren't even open?" None of them are open!;)
And I doubt the majority of the general public has enough common sense to obey rules for their safety and the safety of other people. Every trip reminds me of the level of intelligence that is amassed at the park. The issues I see with loose articles on any given day is sickening. :)

I agree! I talked with you the last time I was at Cedar Point about how it's always rides like Power Tower or Top Thrill Dragster where riders are told multiple times by the ride attendant that they cannot bring their balls into the queue for safety reasons. What do they do? Nothing, they just blow the ride attendant off like they don't exist and then when they get to the platform, they get all pissed because the ride operator tells them they cannot ride. I've seen security even get involved with some people. You would think people would listen to the first warning before they walked into the queue.
There's a simple yet diffucult to understand (I guess) solution to that problem. Put your darn prizes in your darn car! You can get back in!

From their perspective though, they would probably say they don't feel like walking that far. (lazy) I agree with you though dude, just put your prizes in your car if you don't want to pay the $2.00 fee for a locker. :)
I was at the park today and got some footage of Windseeker's lights they really are amazing!
First rollback on Dragster July 23 2003 since then 15
