Well, Mondial does make a lot of rides that go upside down. Maybe they discovered that WindSeeker has a special "inverted" button on the control panel.

I'm in close contact with KI's PR Manager and he told me for sure it didn't happen.
Oh yeah, because the PR department is going to just admit it if something like this happened.
Goodbye MrScott
John
I was watching work on Windseeker at around 2:30 yesterday and they had workers crawling all over the ride working on it, including two workers on lifts drilling holes for the brackets for the new shock absorbers. I highly doubt the ride was even cycled at around 3pm, or at all yesterday, with all the work going on. My bull**** meter is pegged about this so called report of dummies flying out.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
What kind of dummies would they be using? (there were none anywhere near either of the two Windseekers I have seen) Remember that the most common style of water body does not have any legs, and is not only mechanically unsuited to Windseeker's seats, but is also top heavy.
That said, count me among the "highly skeptical" that the falling dummy incident actually happened. As noted, I am not sure they are even using dummies on the ride.

JuggaLotus, you don't understand. We have regular conversation about happenings at the park that most people don't know about, yet.
Not to mention I've been around Kings Island enough to know how the park works via what gets released and what doesn't. You're correct there was no statement provided to the park saying "No, a water dummy did not fall out of WindSeeker today during testing." That'd be a dumb PR move for one. Two, why report on something that didn't happen?
Back to the topic at hand, did any other PB member see a water dummy fall out of WindSeeker and/or have visual proof?
Intamin, see my post above, with all the work going on I don't see how the ride was even cycled at 3:00pm yesterday.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Thanks Pete, you must have posted a few minutes before I had finished my post. Thanks for the info!
About testing, just talked to a friend at KI and they haven't installed the hydraulics (ala Canada's Wonderland) as of Monday on the arms.
Rideman: KI had water dummies on the ride about a week or so ago, I don't know if they are still there or not though.
As for Windseeker's alleged inability to hold it's cargo, I am calling BS on it as well.

Well it doesn't phase them any because their dummies...lol. HA-HA-HAThat's not a nice thing to say about management.
I was referring to the water dummies that they use for testing. I should have cleared that up.
^ I think windseeker was throwing a tantrum and it threw the dummy out of its own seat.....:)
just my 2 cents.....
The dummies were still on at KI last weekend.

It is now 1:35 a.m. I think someone left there LEDs on.
Isn't it beautiful? I could stand there for hours staring at the repeating patterns. And think of all the cool things they can do with it. I would still like to see them with the ride moving, though.

On site update: I can confirm that all the dampers are on. Theres a lot more going on inside the gondola and theres parts everywhere. They seem to be working on the areas where the drive motors are. All the seats are tied off and they just finished installing and testing the pa system.
I see no chance of full testing for a while still. Whatever they're working on, it's extensive and time consuming.

Does anyone know if CW's is back up and running yet?

I am looking at the webcam now...
I'm not positive, but it looks like the CP windseeker is spinning. Can anyone at the park today confirm this?
djcarl, that appears to have been shot on it's first day of operation. It shut back down the next day.
On a side note, I find it disheartening to read in the description that they're basically bragging about openly defying the ride-ops instructions to put away the camera.
