Windseeker construction cam up!

One more to go, and I say that is track inspection on WT.

Last tower segment going up now! Just the "Lighthouse" left to go now.

Yes, I'm calling it a lighthouse as apposed to the "UFO."

Actualy there are at least two more pieces before your lighthouse. There is the counter weights and the walkway at the top with the wheels and pulleys for the cables.

Very imposing looking. Gonna hafta do a gut check before I ride this one! Wonder how much effect the winds off the lake will have on the motion of your seat.

The crane is attached to the topper (U.F.O.) - are they going to finish it today...

Looks like the "toping off " of the tower will be happening fairly soon, as the "ufo" top is rigged up to the crane.

I must say looking at the cams this morning...Windseeker is quite shiny :P...I wish all the rides would look like this permanently...but Ohio Weather+right next to a lake+wear & tear=No shiny paint...but one can dream :)

Anyone else notice how high the lake level is this year? The platform doesn't seem too far away from the water, unless it's just the angle of the camera that makes it look that way.

There is just a very strong wind coming off the lakeside, making the water creep up higher than usual today. It happens occasionally, they even have to pull the beach chairs in sometimes when this happens so they don't get washed away.

The Qs are being assembled as i type this looking goood!!!!!

Does the arrival of a large crane at KI indicate the inaugural flight of KI's windseeker mechanism today?

It definitely looks like they intend to lift something. Perhaps they're going to attach the lift cables.
