Looks like Cedar Fair is going to miss yet another opening day ...

It's good to see the construction moving very quickly. I am surprised to see the swing supports up already. I didn't think they would get to that until sometime next week. Awesome! Seems like Cedar Point is moving along quickly with things. Now they just to need to put the roller coaster trains on the track because I still see some trains in the parking lot and Cedar Point has to test these roller coasters so each roller coaster can pass with the State of Ohio.
It looks like a bunch of the guys are getting to take in their work at KI tonight and enjoy the fruits of their labor by watching a light show of windseeker, and sadly wait for its inspection. Kudos to them for trying in this rough spring
Woah, looks like a whole new color pallet may be playing... I'm seeing green and purple for first time

Is that really fair to say? The ride's design/manufacturer has nothing to do with its delay. Like they said (and many here have said as well), the weather of these past 1 1/2 months have been TERRIBLE for building a 301 ft tower. There's only soo much you can do when the weather is poo poo.
I think KI has had it worse because they open when the weather usually starts to get better leading into May. So the time span they had to work with was filled with the high wind and heavy rainy days of the past month. Luckily for CP, the weather SEEMS to be getting better ::knock on wood::.

Yeah..Working in high winds, cold rain, and whatnot...I'm sure I wouldn't be flying through the project either xD...Oh well...It'll open when it opens..who cares..Deadlines are noticed here in our parks because of the off seasons, ect...But other parks that are open year round/ect this is never noticed & stuff...
im frankly surprised by the delay despite the weather. I would think a multi million dollar project plans on adverse conditions with contingency contracts for delays... you cant tell me there weren't days that project managers couldnt have been crackin a whip... perhaps delay and salavation are as good of advertising as none....? GEEKS?
You can only plan for so many construction delays, let alone almost an entire month of terrible weather. And its not like they are that far from testing. and there are plenty of examples of Multi million / billion dollar projects that have been delayed for weeks, months, and even years. Me personally I'm gonna put the blame on the weather.

I know it's easier to blame the foul weather for another project not to be running on time. But, the Windseeker site sat vacant with absolutely nothing going on for a couple months earlier in the winter. And don't say they couldn't pour the concrete because it was too cold. Construstion crews do it all the time. And despite misconceptions tall buildings get built in crappy weather all the time. So, yes what I said was fair to say, especially after the Intamin fiasco's of previous years. I would have thought they would have been done and testing by now to be on the safe side.

Could we reserve the complaining for if and when a delay is announced? For all anyone here knows, It will still be open on time.
