Wicked Twister Down Alot

yea it was down for like an hour today...now its back up i think...Finally the crane is gone.... I think they moved it to the millennium force...Anybody know what was going on near the MF today??...i saw a crane and some people or somthing in the supports on the first drop.

I'm coming back to CP in july....it better be open for the dats that i go there.

Yesterday the crane was parked behind DT. It had one of those baskets that people stand in, so it was probably just for inspecting the towers. Also, when I was there yesterday, it went down when I was in line, but was only closed for about 10 minutes. Other than that, I saw it running the whole day.

Yesterday WT was up the whole day. MF was down from at least 7-9.

Oh the drama continues. This morning they were welding the back spike, again. They substituted Raptor in for the ERT . It was up later when I left though.

That's very good news that its up running again because I'm going to be going their Sunday. How long have the waits been?

The waits have been VERY short - today at 1:00 we waited 10 minutes, and I don't think it ever got longer than 30 minutes. It was the same way Monday. However, when I went to ride it for a second time today with Freeway, it broke down just as I was getting into the station. It didn't seem like anything big at first, but then they told us that it would be a while so we left. It was down for at least a couple hours...

Yesterday it was like 30 - 45 min the whole day (the sign said 1 hour).

The Crane is Back and it was working on the rear spike this morning anf i think they are still doing somthing over there....I'm not sure if the WT is up today...

I rode it tonite. The crane is back and now on the second launch they don't blast you through the station nearly as fast. You only get maybe halfway up the back spike where as before you went nearly to the top. However on the fourth launch you go up most of the way as before.

I saw it going on last night. I saw it when I was on power tower then I headed over there to check it out. Looked like they were doing some cutting or griding as well as sparks were flying everywhere and I could hear a cutting/grinding noise.

Today, Janice Withrow said WT is having electrical problems and they are working with Intamin on the problems. She said they are doing everything they can to get it working consistently as they, of all people, don't like announcing a new ride only to have it down.

Today on the rear spike they were welding, cutting, grinding, and banging on it with a hammer. There was also a black piece which looks like it was set up to help support the rear spike which may just be temporary.I guess it was up this morning for a short time but thats it.

They are also changing the name to Welded Twister.

I know what the problem is...

An it is down again. They have been working on it for 3 days now. Above the main support on the back spike.The have also reduced power because the times it went up the back spike it would go all the way up. Now you only go have way up the first time in the back spike. The crack has to be serious to make them fix it week after week.
