Wicked Twister Down Alot

If it's the former Magnum crew member that I'm thinking of (Corey), he's not working the ride anymore...or any other ride in the park, for that matter. Look for him in guest services now. ;)

Yea, Corey was the only Magnum crew member that I knew of on Nitro. I did catch some guy over at SFNE working Superman who was on Mantis last year. I believe his name is Joseph...

Some people say this as an excuse...its a new ride...its supposed to have some down time...or something like that..i was just thinkin..if planes were built like the WT...o its a new plane its has its down time...thats cause you only get one chance on a plane...there cant be no problems.

I wish they would make roller coasters like that

I was there for the 2nd and 3rd and Wicked Twister was only down for about 30 minutes total when I was there. It wasn't open for the ERT though. They didn't weld any on it either! ;) Problem was that it was definately not running at full power. Some said it was, but you could tell it wasn't. Usually one car of the train would get a 360 degree rotation, that's it. We rode back seat and it was fun, but I'm not riding it again until it's at full power.

When I was their on the tenth they closed it down for about 15 min's alot of people thought it was a bird that got cought in their and was killed and they had to clime uop their and remove whatever it was. Does anyone know what exactly it was.

Usually the "people" have no idea. You tell them the ride has mechanical problems, and you end up with everyone saying that the ride is going to fall apart...it may have been a computer problem...

It was not a computer problem because one of the mechanics had to clime up the second spike and when he was up their we heard something fall that made a very load bang on that roof over the walkway. Then the worker climed back down.

Tuesday July 16, 2002 - Anyone know if it will be up and running, Tuesday will be the first time going to CP this year since CoasterMania!

FYI, the other day even the test chair was down mechanical. :)

Who ever was asking about Corey. I actually saw him at Dorney last month during CoasterMadness (Talon! :)) and he did mention he was working in guest services at SFGrtAdv. That was LAST month however, and last I heard he was no longer employed there. Maybe we'll find him at PKI next? :)

I'm Back here in NYC....I went to CP a bunch of times this season.. The WT opens up very late and its not an Early access ride...its the millie and the Raptor now. What have been the problems lately with the WT....i havent been around a computer for a while...i need some updates.
