Engineering tolerances, people...

There are building codes that require structures of any sort to be able to withstand an additional percentage of the maximum amount of force likely to be applied to that structure. These are called safety factors. The additional force brought about by 2 miles an hour difference is nothing compared to what the structure is engineered and *required* to handle.

I talked to one of the technicians working on WT that day, and he verified they were waiting for some computer boards to come in.

It is probably a computer problem because when I went the harnesses wernt releasing right, but if there has been people on the track fixing it im guessing they might be having problems with both the computer and the track.

Well it's much better that this is happening now than in, say, July or August... especially being a new ride.

There is some activity near the WT....like i see cars/trucks pull up near it....Maybe its the new parts for watever the main problem is now.

I was told on Friday afternoon by maintenance workers at WT that they were waiting on a circuit board being flown in from New Jersey. It was expected to be there at 9pm on Friday evening. Never heard if it arrived.

There is a crane near the WT!!!!!!!!! Maybe that new part is New track from intamin....if it was just a computer board...Why do you need a crane?...but its not that really big cran that put the top track on. Anybody know why that crane is there and for what purpose?

Maybe the blew out some heavy electrical stuff that needs to be lowered into place. Remember the radio call someone picked up about smoke?

I was there yesterday, and the only thing I could see for sure was that the last LIM before the forward tower was completely missing. I hope they get it going again soon, I'm heading back on Thursday.

The maintenance guys generally know what they are talking about. I learned the hard way that food workers...etc know nothing. This break will definately prompt them for a lot more testing than we are planning on! I can bet it may be down for at least another week.

I have been there 6 times this year. 3 times with an under height ride partner (she is 48 1/2") and 2 with someone who could ride it. BUMMER!!!!!! I will trek down again soon if they can get the bugs worked out. I can't wait!

Hmmmm a new computer part, maybe we wont hear the phrase "re-check all harnesses" anymore?:)

Well...i'm just going to cancel my trip tomorrow...i heard there was going to be bad weather and with all the problems that CP been having....like the WT down all this time and now that what happened with the Chaos yesterday....I'll just go to cedar point later when i come back to ohio some time in july....i really do hope they work out the WT's problems by then.
