I agree. Log flumes are a very great crowd pleaser. I really don't know why they need two of the big splash water rides. I would get rid of Snake River Falls and put a log flume somewhere in the park.

For those that don't remember the rock tunnel and would like to see it, I happened to find a 1996 family video of it and posted the video to YouTube a couple months ago. It shows up around the 1:05 mark:
Wow, that really brought back some memories for me.
I love traditional log flumes. They have so much character and, um, charm. I somehow just can't see getting as excited about STR. But we'll see. Obviously the jury is still out, at least until Opening Day.

I seem to recall that the tunnel actually collapsed mid-season, and the park fixed it by removing it entirely.
I think that's the case, but now that I think about it I don't remember for certain. I'm going to guess that if it did happen, either I have a photo of the collapsed tunnel or there is a thread about it here on PointBuzz. :)

Wow, come to think of it, I vaguely remember the rock tunnel. Of course that's also because I used to go to Kings Island more than I did Cedar Point at that time. I surprised they never decided to rebuild that instead of removing it.
Omg.....
They took out white water landing? ;)
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
