Since, I was molested as a child repeatedly by a uncle of mine, no I don't think any joke on the Penn State thing is funny. But, a person with such a great screen name as you must think those jokes are such a hoot.

I don't know the exact location of SS to WT and Giant Wheel, and I'm fearing they might close WT and Giant Wheel this weekend for the demolition. Is this crazy talk, or a possibility due to safety precautions?

The thing is going to take all of 2 seconds to fall over, and it'll happen when the park is closed. So I see no reason why any of those rides would not open this weekend.

Hopefully the park will have video of the demolition, as the Gatekeeper webcam, with its updates only on the minute will show the tower there, and the next, the tower gone. (unless by some miracle it catches it mid-fall) It would be amazing of they sacrificed a camera on the tower to capture a POV of the demo.

I hope they do too.

Anyone find it weird that the cabin is sitting at the top of SS as of now??

My engineer by trade brother-in-law brought up a good point. SS won't come down until we see steel rising for GK. The reason... $$$$$ It costs a lot of $$$ to operate/rent those huge construction cranes. To save some of that $$$, we will probably see SS come down when the crane(s) are in the physical area of SS when erecting GK's lift hill.

They will probably cut it up like they did DT vs. unbolting it section by section. They sure won't cut it down from the base and control fall it. That tower has got a lot of weight to it.

That's what I thought too. They'll cut it up and lift the pieces off one by one until it's all gone. You don't knock a tower down like a tree.
