When is Thread-The-Needle's last day open???

I see the Master Disaster is being torn down. Is it going somewhere else in the park or another park?
And then when is the last day for Thread-The-Needle?
My older family members many years ago always said, "Are you gonna
Thread The Needle"? meaning are you going up the needle.

No, Disaster Transport will not be relocated, it is being scrapped. Also, Space Spiral should be closing around labor day, with removal shortly after.

A few months ago I talked to some employees about the Space Spiral. Mostly all of them said it will be going to Canada's Wonderland. They all could say if they were right or wrong.

Well, initially it'll be heading a little bit toward Lake Erie, so that's sort of the right direction...

I think it seems pretty obvious that barring a change in schedule Space Spiral will not be re-opening this season. Labor Day is Monday. There has been no word of a "closing" ceremony or final rides, etc. They would have to move the current fence location and then put it back. Just seems like a done deal to me.

The only thing I can think of is if they get the rest of DT down today/tomorrow, then have SS open for the long weekend as a last hurrah

It would be more like a last "meh".

But I think Chuck Wagon is right - we've seen the last of Space Spiral.

Indeed. I'm not rushing to the Point to get a last ride in if they open it up

They should do a POV video on the Space Spiral, complete with the narration that riders hear. That would be just as good as riding it one last time. Of course, the camera would have to be somewhere on the outside, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see anything through the windows.

I absolutely agree with that.

May I ask why you keep calling space spiral "thread the needle"? There's like 2 threads on here with that name, lol

Over the decades, the Space Spiral has been called many things by people. I have been corrected and I know it is Space Spiral. People call it The Needle, Thread The Needle, and I am sure other things. I am just recalling a better time and a better park.
