I realize this may be a little late in the conversation, but for who ever was talking about the non eliptical loop. There are still some around. One I rode was scorpion at Busch Gardens Tampa. The G's in the loop are pretty intense.

There is also one in the U.K.
Not basjing here just pointing out facts. For whoever was talking about Wicked Twister being almost inverted... Wicked twister is no more inverted than Top Thrill Dragster is. In fack, Millennium Force is more inverted than either of them with it's over banked turns.

QUESTION: Why does everyone believe the train will enter the zig-zag turns before hitting the bunny hill? Isn't it just as likely that the train could turn around near the water and head back to where the hill is seperately from the turns and then end the ride with the zig-zag pattern?
When I first saw the bunny hill, I assumed the train would be coming from the midway side too. The angle of the hill just made me thing that's the way it would be travelling. But, who knows really?
well thats a givin, Im starting to belive that ALL the people waiting in line for the FunCoast Cam have forgotten they have it running ;) *** Edited 8/23/2006 11:11:08 PM UTC by BGRooDoG***

I think "Project 2007" will be an Intamin looping coaster(Thorpe Park's Colossus). Built in 2002 and having 10 inversions it represents the future of looping roller coasters
http://www.intaminworldwide.com/i_products_roller.htm
Intamin states this as the future on their web site and CP is all about making other parks rides better. This could have 10 inversions +-, also this type of ride runs on the same type of track that is being built for "project 2007". This could be a smaller MF with inversion with a lift hill or a LIM launch. This is way more likely than a 500' drop or Intamin's ball coaster.
That was my quote yesturday in the thread PROJECT 2007 BLOG UPDATE on page 35, and it was before the inversion was being built. It looks like a zero G roll which Thorpe Park's Colossus has on the ride. So far my prediction is accurate.

^^I would have to agree. When you look at the picture shown here:

this is what they could be putting on the lower supports. It would only seem like something like this could go here.
If your not having fun, what are you having? Have Fun !!!
They're working quite late again. I wonder if they'll finish the whole element before they go home for the day. It looks like one more piece would do it.

Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.
At least we can finally put to bed the AquaTrax theory. I am so glad that it isn't an AquaTrax. *** Edited 8/24/2006 12:33:24 AM UTC by CoasterJoe***

Mind Bender at Six Flags Over Georgia has a couple non-elliptical loops and they both seem even a bit more intense than the one on Scorpion. I personally miss the days when rides had loops mixed in with air time hills. I'm hoping Maverick will be around the same lines in design, even if there are no perfectly round loops.

Enhanced. Looks like a corkscrew to me.

Looks like a Zero-Gravity roll to me.
how many people are in line for the funcam?
Bow down, Bow down before the power of Santa, or be crushed, be crushed by----- his Jolly boots of Doom.
Coming Soon! Star Wars episode 7- The Fallen Hero
episode 8- The Republic in Crisis
episode 9- Victory of the Force
It seems really stupid to have a corkscrew in the middle of a ride that so far has only turns and a airtime hill, it adds nothing to the layout other then a moderate thrill...
I hope there will be a update tomorrow.
