let me say this, i'm 28 years old. ive been riding coasters since i was 6 years old. thats over 22 years of coaster riding. CP Tay Tay, u r right this site is mostly coaster enthusiasts and thats why i'm so puzzled about the respond to this post on millenium force. the last time i looked millenium force was ranked either #1 or #2 by coaster enthusiasts. majority of people who i have spoken with, who by the way have been riding coasters longer than me consider millenium force a classic coaster. i understand that everyone looks for different things in coasters. with that said, i feel mf is as strong today as it was when it open in 2000. if u dont believe me go to cedar point on a busy day i will guarentee u that the line to ride millenium force is one the longest lines in the whole park. i respect the fact that 1 coaster might not be a favorite of everyone, but to say its overrated or that millenium force is has lost its touch. tells me that many of guys on here dont know to much about coasters or appreciate them. i said before and i will say it again in my opinion mf is one of the top 2 coasters at cedar point!
So much banter in this thread. What happened to "To each his own?"
I'm a die-hard MF fan, and have made a pact to ride it 500 times in my lifetime. It may not seem like much to most people on PB because many of you live very close to the park. But I lived in Cincinnati all my life, and now I live in Chicago (even farther away), so it will be a challenge for me. Long live the Force.

^Ditto. Some people have trouble understanding the "to each his own" concept. Me, I'm a big fan of Raptor, but does that mean I like MF or any other coaster less? No. I really haven't rode a coaster I didn't like. Sometimes I like certain coaster rides more than others. For example, I might be really pumped about a ride of MF one day, but another day it could just be another ride.
In the end, its all a matter of opinion, and everyone's is different...of course if we all realized that, then we would have nothing to talk about on here!!!

MF is an amazing ride!!! Its big, fast, very smooth, and does have good airtime. It is not boring at all! And the few times i've been there this year, the lines have been long, about an hour wait each time. I'm going plenty more times and the only rides that I cannot miss are MF, Mav, and Dragster.
I know this topic is old, but I'd thought I'd bring it back in honor of Millennium Force 10th birthday. Since Millennium Force came out, that's when I became more and more of a Cedar Point lover. And even 10 years later, Millennium Force is still the best in my opinion. I mean now we have Intimidator, Diamondback, Maverick, etc. And speaking of which I would love to go out to Kings Dominion this year and ride Intimidator, but I'm not sure yet if I'll make it there this year, but so far it's been getting good reviews. What If Millennium Force was built like this in 2000. Would it be any different or the same? To me, I feel like Millennium Force still has the same speed and same great air time. However it would have been cool had Millennium Force been built with the ground hugging turns that Intimidator has now.
Don't even bother trying to make millennium feel special-some say that it doesn't need a celebration for it's 10th. MAGNUM is what people are going ga-ga over.
I think Millennium deserves attention for it's 10th. Maybe it will get a celebration for it's 20th, like magnum.
I'll just say that I'm jealous of anyone who lives 5 hours away; I live 11!
That said, it really is "to each his own". I love MF and it is definitely my fave coaster, but I know it's not everyone's. I'm sad I can't get back to the park this summer for it's bday though!
I will be going today and this is my only 2nd time at the POINT this yr. I've rode the MF close to 400 times. I am 25 Minutes away from the Park too!!
I agree that MF can get a little boring over time (just because it's so smooth)...but only because I've ridden it a countless number of times with the same people for a decade. That being said, change your ride setting, and you'll fall in love all over again.
Ride Millenium Force with someone who has never ridden it before at 12:30AM through THICK fog on a cool Halloweekends Friday night. You'll swear it's one of the best rides all over again. This happened to me just last season.
For anyone new to Cedar Point though, Millenium Force and many others must be a sensory overload of greatness. Also, even if MF doesn't thrill you anymore, there is much to love about it, like the awesome view of Lake Erie on the lift and the incredibly-open feeling trains.
