What is everyones deal with Millenium Force??

Magnum, has been and will probably always be my favorite CP coaster (it also is the coaster that I have ridden the most anywhere in the world) but I do love MF. Its first drop, 3rd hill, 5th hill (aka the hill to and from MF island) and the 6th are fantastic moments, but thats all it has. While its no longer butter smooth, it still delivers some great air and it still holds a spot on my top 5 steel coasters.

I was just at the park this last weekend. And after riding Maverick (which has something for everyone). I would just like to say that Maverick did steal the top spot in my book from Millie. But not by much. Millie in the front seat is still a better ride than many. And Maverick in the Back seat is a better ride than every.

I still think that Millennium Force is the best ride in the park. I rode MF 6 times this year. It seems to be even better than last year.
But that's just my opinion.

its been over 7 years since millenium force's debut and i still say its the best ride at cedar point. its funny how a new ride opens up and everyone jumps ship and talks how an older ride is losing its touch.dont get me wrong, i was at cedar point 2 weeks ago and rode maverick twice and its an awesome ride. maverick is a brand new ride so its gonna run smoother and more efficient than an older ride. millenium force still brings butterflies to stomach when i'm going up that lift hill and i still say that first drop is the best first drop that any roller coaster has to offer. the speed is still oneof the fastest and it has more airtime than u think. mf is a classic ride already and it will follow magnum xl 200's foot steps and leave behind a legacy. just remember in the next 7 years will the maverick be able to stand the test of time and thats how a coaster should be judged.

i was at work today talking about Millennium Force line today he said to me Millennium Force is so busy today. please shut up about Disaster Transport its is not going nowhere from cedar point because its is indoor coaster. And i like mean streak too. cedar point will not going to torn down mean streak and magum xl 200 because is a top 10 roller coasters in the world.

I agree with many of you..MF is not as great as it once was.

Total Maverick rides for the 2007 season = 27

Top 5--- 1. Maverick- 2. Millennium 3. Magnum 4. TTD 5. Gemini

Cavs- 2007 Eastern Conference Champions!.-

MF is a great coaster, but Magnum is still my all-time favorite. I've seen it before, but what is considered the "ejector seat" on Magnum? Is it 1-3?

MF is just as great now as it was when it opened. There may be new rides to compare MF to, but it still travels the same 93mph after the first drop, and it still is 310 feet tall, and it's still an amazing experience.

I know we get more advanced and newer rides, but it's a shame how many would say that a certain ride is losing it's touch..

..because it isn't.

Well, I can't say that MF is the best because I haven't been on many coasters at all. But what I can say is out of the ones I have been on, it is tied at number 1 with El Toro, but since my wood and steel lists are separated, it really doesn't matter.

I haven't been to CP in over a a year, but I just remember going on it last year and having the drop take the breath out of me, and the great speed. Then the floater over the hill which I absolutely love, which gives me the feeling of flying and that "Weeeee!" type feeling. I absolutely loved it. It was bigger and faster than anything I have been on before that point (I went on TTD the next day, but before MF Magnum was the biggest) Another plus for me is the lift. You are going up and since the cars are wider than the track, you can just look over the edge down at the ground, which seems like a 1000 ft for a first time rider, then you realize you have a strap of cloth and a lapbar holding you from taking flight when you plunge down the 80 degree drop from 300 feet in the air then flying through the over bank going (I'm guessing) 75+mph. That is the reason I love it. Although, I love El Toro just as much.

Top Steel
1. MF 2. Nitro 3. TTD 4. KK 5. Raptor 6. WT 7. Storm Runner 8. Medusa 9. Maggie 10. Great Bear.
Top wood
1. El Toro 2. Lightning Racer 3. Blue Streak 4. Comet @ HP 5. Great White @ Morey's Pier

^^Looking at your Top wood in your sig...have you ever ridden The Voyage?? I'm guessing NO!! Or else that would be your #2! (ET is also my #1, but it kind of cheats with it not being old school wood)

I can't say anything negitive about MF, I love it to death. Everything about it, the height , the speed and its so smooth.

Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"

I have ridden MF a number of times and I do not think it is that great. Sure, the first hill is good, but after that it's just speed and <yawn> boring.

Now, my husband doesn't agree with me on this. He loves MF. My fav CP coaster is Magnum.

I will ride MF if it's a walk-on. If not, I will pass. Not worth waiting for, I don't think.

Now, my husband will wait. Only, he won't be waiting with me, cuz like I said before, it's not worth a wait. He will have to ride with one of my kids. But most of the time they don't want to wait long for it, either.

What is a world without Cedar Point?

Pointless!!! ;)

I must admit MF knocked my socks off in '00. But the more I had ridden it (maybe TOO much) the more I found it to be all speed and not enough substance. Technically MF is one HUGE hill, turn, hill, turn, turn, hill, hill, turn, done.
If the wait is longer than 30 minutes, you'll find me on Raptor's (or even Maverick's) line.

Now take Nitro-no massive 1st drop mind you, but I would take it (speed and TONS of substance) over MF any day. Impartial to B&Ms? Maybe ;)

I know the last time I saw Millennium Tony, he had on a Maverick hat and Maverick shirt!! Asked if he liked Maverick better than MF. Reply: "I don't know"
I take that to be a yes :)

As for me, I am still faithful to my baby!

Lifetime Raptor flights: 1207 :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

MF is still amazing too me. However, Maverick is better:) MF is my #2 coaster. MF's only good moments are the drop, the hills coming and going from the island, the speed, and the little hop next to the station.

Maverick has the launched lift, insane drop(especially back row:) ), ejector air, inversions, launch, stengel dives, more air. It is deffinately my number one.

Magnum is nice, because I have never seen a wait longer than 20 min when I went this year. I walked on twice yesterday(2nd and back rows), and could have walked on many more. Later in the day I had about a 10 min wait for the front row. I love the final airtime hills, and the ride is still great after 18 years. Magnum is currently my #3 coaster.

I don't know, Millennium keeps shifting up and down the list for me, it seems like for every really good ride that I get, I have had 3 or 4 really "meh" rides before hand.

My very first ride on it ever was a really good ride, It felt like it had great speed and really good air time, almost ejector-ish, over all of the hills, not just the boring floaty air time you normally get. I also got one of those last night, and it was amazing. We freaking flew! We would pass the fixed breaks, and we would still hit the breaks outside unload really hard. Maybe it was the heat, humidity, day, hour, and moon position that got me a good ride. ;)

I love the way you float out of you seat on the DROP as you crest the hill. It is a great ride and I don't find the floater airtime "boring" at all.

So does that mean that in a few years that MF will be sinking too ;)?

Four discount funday tickets to Cedar Point: $130.96
Overnight stay at Breakers Express: $70
Riding rides the size of skyscrapers while "legally" breaking the local speed limit: Priceless

Its odd to think their are negative comments about this great ride. I enjoy it so thats all that matters to me.

That's why I started this topic. I'm just as surprised as you are.

orvis, I rode Magnum yesterday 3 times in seat 1-3.

I think i can safely say, it's definately the ejector air seat. I got so much air on those bunny hills it was killing my thighs. (also, in seat 1-3, after the first tunnel before the trims, only this time and that seat i noticed, i floated from leaving the tunnel, all the way to the trims,it was amazing!

People shouldn't be bashing Millennium, people should be wondering why the hell Magnum is giving me thoughts that it wants to turn evil like Mean Streak. I love riding it but i don't understand how it's getting to be so rough that it's uncomfortable.

I know it's getting old and people have said that is why its rougher, but the only way I'm seeing it getting rougher, is because of the steel being bent up and not in line anymore, can someone please give me a smart reason for why it's rough now?

Again. I still love riding it since it's a 5min wait. *** Edited 8/4/2007 4:55:09 AM UTC by TTDCP***
