Ok, so lately I have been reading trip reports and such and people keep complaining about Millennium Force not being so good anymore? For Example: On casterbuzz today someone had a trip report from today and said that Millenium Force was not that great of a ride and the tracks and stuff were roaring. I have ridden it once this year and loved it. What does everyone think?
MF?? Slow, boring, 0 air...I'd take Maverick, Stormrunner, and a handful of B&M inverts before MF....heck, don't even ask about El Toro or Voyage, which I would also take first!!
Stormrunner is a trash heap compared to MF. It barely makes it over the top hat. How is MF slower than that?
Everyone has their own opinion. I personally don't get the whole MF is the greatest ride in the world thing, but again, that's just me.
There's some people who really enjoy Disaster Transport over MF.

Dont worry, I still love her... though Maverick has overtaken her 6 year crown in my rankings.

If you consider 93 mph "slow" I'd love to see your driving record.

What Storm Runner where you on?! When I rode it, it zoomed over that tophat! I guess it changed for the worst since I went on it.

While MF may not be my #1 coaster or anything, it by no means can be called "slow and boring."
I think that the expectations for that ride are so high that people hold it to a different standard than other rides. It's almost as if it doesn't instantly become your new favorite ride after your first time riding it, then it failed to meet expectations.
All I'm saying is, even if it's not your favorite, it's still a great ride and we're lucky to have it. :)
I think that MF is one of the best coasters at CP! I rode it 3 times on my last trip and I would have gone on it more if the line was shorter. I guess some people don't care for the floater airtime as much as the more "violent" airtime on other rides. I don't see what everyone likes so much about Magnum XL-200. Yes it is a fun ride, especially at night, but I just don't think it is as good as MF, TTD, or Maverick. I think part of the reason that many people don't like MF anymore is that they go to the the park so much that some of the rides start to get old.

Four discount funday tickets to Cedar Point: $130.96
Overnight stay at Breakers Express: $70
Riding rides the size of skyscrapers while "legally" breaking the local speed limit: Priceless
I also like MF, but I can't get on it anymore because of there seat belt problems. I like the Magnum XL 200 a lot more so I just don't even try to ride MF anymore.

We went to Hershey in June. It just barely made it over the top hat (or at least felt like it barely made it over) every time we rode it. It was a much better ride when I didn't put my arms up. But, I was obviously expecting it to be way more fun. It looks more fun than it really is in my book.
I had just ridden Xcelerator about 15 times two months prior too. That thing really DOES fly over the top hat. I've never experienced air like that on an Intamin rocket before. So, that may have led to my disappointment with Stormrunner as well.
Wow, I'm actually really surprised by this thread. I expected about half of the replies to be "MF is the best" and half to be "MF is good, but not as good as _____." Turns out a lot of people don't think it's that spectacular. It's still the best in the world in my book.

I love Millennium Force, but I wouldn't say that have enought credits(67) to call it the best in the world, but it is definatley my number one! There is just something about the height and you actually getting a view from the top unlike TTD, its up and over.
Now Magnum XL 200 is a great ride, but over the years it has gotten really jerky. This year when I rode I had absolutley 0 airtime, maybe its becuase I was in row 2, but I have been in row 3 before and the airtime was insane!
All in all, Millennium Force is my fav coaster, will that change? Most likely after i get the chance to go to other places and ride other world class rides.

I think you have to appreciate for what it is. It's not a bad ride at all, but quite tame when you compare it to the likes of Magnum or The Voyage, my personal favorite! I love Millennium for many reasons, and would have a blast riding it all day, but then again I only make it to Cedar Point once or twice a year, and am not jaded like some of you all are.
It's a good coaster but nothing close to the best in my book.
