CP is NOT going to tear down one of their coasters, they have to keep up with the caoster race.
You are probably right. But is it for the best? I hope CP doesn't get too focused on quantity instead of quality...because I don't know too many people who consider Disaster Transport to be a quality ride.

Speak for yourself...my girls LOVE DT. Just because you don't see your life passing before your eyes doesn't make it poor quality.
Bring back the pirate ride!

Erie: The only great lake you can walk from end to end and only get oil on your shoes!
But as for coasters, don't tear any of them down. They not only need the coaster count but all of the ones that were mentioned are kind of an advantage for Cedar Point. Corkscrew is a transition ride for all new thrill seekers besides that fact that people love to sit under it and eat the boardwalk fries and lemonade chills. It is just a gorgeous landscape piece even if it was not in operation.
And there is no way Cedar Point can tear down Disaster Transport in my mind, For the past two times that I went to Cedar Point, the line was at the door. Why tear down a ride that currently exists that has alot of people who want to ride it when there is so much room already in the park. Remember in 1999 when we were all on messageboards all over the internet talking about how it was impossible for Cedar Point to build a 300 foot rollercoaster? Not only did people say it wasn't possible to build one that high because it would go to fast (lol, now that I think about Dragster) but they also said that there wasn't going to be room for a coaster of that magnitude. But where did they build it? In one of the "narrowest" areas of the park, to the left of Mantis. So keep what they have now, if not move them around and adjust for more rides.

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

A flying coaster is a must for CP. There is a very small amout of flying coasters in the world, and I would love to ride one.

Floorless trains would not work on Mantis because the track gauge isn't quite the same, it would require a train modification. Also, Mantis is designed so the center of gravity for the rider is his or her heartline-if floorless trains were put on it wouldn't match up. I would like to try floorless on Mantis, but it is probably not going to happen.
I'm sure if you search you can find a couple threads with way more detailed explanations.
