What CedarPoint is lacking the most....

Wait just a minute...

Has anyone thought about the rumored "revolving restaurant?" I think that would be wonderful! Could you imagine being up there at night and looking out over the park, and the lake? It would be beautiful! I really think they should take that rumor and run with it! The Space Spiral USED to be the tallest thing in the park, and I remember when it was! It's still a wonderful site to be in there seeing everything, however...it just doesn't seem tall enough anymore!

Come on Cedar Point ... let's get something going for grandma! Grandma wants to see the park from high up above every thing else in the park.....she wants to feel like she's on top of things....yet, not fill her depends like she would if she rode TTD! PLEASE!!!

Oh yeah...throw in some more flat rides, and a few dark rides and everything will be okey dokey for some time!!!

Thank you Cedar Point for doing such a wonderul job on everything. Just don't forget about your senior friends!

Also...the kids in the age range 7-12 seem to be lacking an area for themselves. Sure...the kiddie rides are great, but maybe they aren't ready for the big coasters...and they feel stupid riding the kiddie rides. We need more things for the tweens here!!!

Thanks guys!!!

uhhh, im pretty sure a revolving restaurant would be astronomical price wise, and thats why thats not happening. what Cedar Point is lacking is a few more flat rides. throw in some classics like a Rotor, a Bayern Curve, a Whip, and bring back the Shawbinchen.

if a coaster is next, its gonna most likely be a flying coaster, in my opinion.

And what was the price of TTD, again?

I think Cedar Point could do well with a revolving restaurant!

How about a "tilt" coaster like in Taiwan. It doesn't take up much space and would sure be cool to watch and ride.

Anybody notice the tagline on the Huss "Land of the Giants" main page?

http://www.hussrides.com/35GiantLand.htm

"The Bigger the Rides the Harder You Fall".

Ummm... can't say that's very appealing to me. I know it's a play on an old saying, but we're still "falling hard".

Given the couple/few recent accidents, I think if THOSE rides had taglines (such as TTDragster's "Race for the Sky") with "falling" in them, they'd be taken down quickly.

"Raven! You'll Fall for It".

That ski-lift ride: "Ride it in October. It's Beautiful in the Fall".

Whatever. Huss makes millions. What do I know?

My problem with the revolving restaurant is that I can't imagine eating a whole meal and then riding stuff. Lots of puking. Although I suppose people do that with the real restaurants they already have (I ate at Macaroni's once when it was pouring, that's the only time I've eaten a "real" meal at CP). Plus it would probably be somewhat expensive (for the food, I mean; I'm sure they could afford to build it).....fries and pretzels are the way to go - spend less time eating, more time in line/on rides.

Resurrecting the Pirate Ride would be great, or putting a water ride in the front of the park. That globe-y fountain is useful when it's hot, but they need something more entertaining than dunking your head in there.

Meanstreak is great, they need to retrack it though!
An idea timetable:

2004: Build a Huss "Land of the Giants" on Millie Island using two drawbridges for access so that PWE can be kept in operation. Also while this is not a Huss ride to my knowledge (forgot who built them) include a giant Wave Swinger and S&S new Fly Swatter. Estimated cost I think would be about $15-18 million including the two extra non Huss flats. I think Land of the Giants on Huss' website is only about 4.5 acres which Mille Island is prabably at least twice that or more allowing for a few more flats.

2005: Build a 450' Gyro Drop on Millie Island (Land of the Giants). Close Demon Drop to demantle it for 2006 attraction. Estimated cost is prabably about another $15-18 million.

2006: Build the world tallest (250'), longest (7500'-8000'+), steepest (72-75 degrees), fastest (80+mph) woodie (Intamin of course) on the beach front from the beach entrance to the old Demon Drop area in the form of a double L out & back. See my new posting (thread) on this board for more details.

You mean, as opposed to a post-Midway Market/Silver Dollar upchuck session?

Sorry. It was right there begging to be said...

Only that CP is lacking the most....

A TTD that will run for more that a day...J/K :)

I mentioned the real restaurants!

While MF island has a fair amount of acerage, you'd still have to work around MF.

Here's a satellite picture of CP I found and posted before in this topic. (Like I said before) If you to the left of MF 3rd hill there is an area that I think would be a great spot for a station of a flying. It could go weave through MF and all over Millennium Island. Then look behind Raptors cobra roll at the 2 car rides (Don't know names). Right there could fit a Huss Land of the Giants. Either that or a B&M Floorless coaster could fit there too. I like the idea of the Intamin woodie but Demon Drop does not need to be removed.

It is my opinion that they should not tear down any coasters. Always work with the area that you have. We wouldn't want to lose the record for the most rides by tearing a coaster down and then build another. What if another park gets a coaster that gives 17 coasters? It might be best to fill in parts of the lake.
Cedar Point isn't lacking anything and doesn't need to take Corkscrew out, it is a buffer for new coaster enthusiasts o the future. It was the ride that moved me from Blue Streak and Mine Ride to Magnum in 1998, after riding it, I felt as if I was on top of the world. It's not intimidating, it's not enormous, so it's something for the kids. Leave it for them.

But since everybody does have a wish list for what they want at Cedar Point, I think that they should make a 4-Dimensional Flying Coaster. Imagine, flying through the peninsula hoovering over Frontier Town, Flying through the Millenium Force, through the lagoon. And as you have the sensation that you are flying, all of the sudden you will be flipped over on the bottom of a drop where it seems like your head is going to smash into the ground.

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

here's an idea: tear down disaster transport and build a replica (or a slight redesign) of the famed cyclone coaster that was on that site until the 50's. it would be the perfect chance for cp to tout their historical relevance and build another wicked wooden coaster.

i'm the product of a summer romance: my parents met at cp in '75!

CP is NOT going to tear down one of their coasters, they have to keep up with the caoster race.

What if the Intamin woodie idea never takes off? Would CP want to take the chance of what would happene with another big, hulking, wood coaster? Would this be built on the beach?

Possible, but not probable, IMO

Here is an obvious thing C.P. is lacking:
A bathroom inside (or even near) the "Bubbles" swim-up bar area!
