Water Bombs on Maverick

I know this thread is about the water bombs but I still also miss the led lights and rail road crossing effects and sound in the tunnel, but we all know the chances of them fixing that stuff is close to zero percent.

Honestly, I forget what the sound was.

I think it was just a bell sound like you would hear at a train crossing. The combination of the heavy fog and LED lights near the end of the tunnel were an awesome effect, but I understand why they discontinued them.

You do? Do tell.

I'm upset they have let the theming elements go to waste as well. The ride is still amazing without them, but that little bit of theming really puts any ride over the top.

I put some water bombs in the toilet here. Pretty cool effect. I also listed the house as having a bidet...while its on the market. Got some favorable offers man. And sold a platinum pass to see the house.

Most of the theming has stayed in tack if you ask me. The only thing that has detiorated are the lights in the tunnel.

I think that when it comes to theming, Maverick is one of the best, at least when it comes to the rocks. I think they could've done better with Rougarou.

I can only comment on the fog. From what I understand it was causing issues due to all the moisture. At least I think I remember hearing something along those lines.

Only 2 water bombs are working today! My day is ruined...

I can totally relate to your utter devastation, I'm not at the park today and now I'm virtually inconsolable with this revelation...

Only one thing could make it better. Bring the coffee makers back at hotel breakers

I couldn't care less about the water bombs, but I love, love, LOVE the new restraints. And the speed taking off from the tunnel is so great. We spent more time on Maverick this week than any other ride.

Seeing as the "fog" on Rougarou is already missing, I would say it's definitely zero percent.

I thought the lighting in the tunnel was a major problem attracting bugs.

But some sound effects would be cool

I should also add, the new restraints were a huge improvement, and I loved the ride before. I never experienced any type of headbanging with Maverick, but I always found them so darn constrictive and overly bulky. The new restraints add a level of freedom that makes for a significant positive change.

Much like the fog/mist in Maverick's tunnel, I heard that the fog at the bottom of the drop was causing problems of the electrical type. Now, take that for what you will but they DO still have it on. It's just not as "voluminous" as it was on media day.

Cedar Point needs a fog engineer to help them do it correctly. Why is it so frickin' difficult?

I don't understand why some gentle mist would cause electrical problems anyway. The ride gets exposed to rain and should be able to operate in the rain. What can some mist do? There doesn't even seem to be electrical equipment in the area of the mist.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
