Virus Impact on CP

Funny how COVID-19 isn’t a topic much anymore....does COVID-19 spread during massive riots or just in bars, restaurants and amusement parks....asking for a friend....

Isn't much of a topic anymore? How do you measure that because the news tonight was very much 50/50 split between Covid and the protests. Not sure where you get your news or who you chat with but its very much still a topic of conversation from my observations.

^You obviously don’t watch the Obamagate News Channel. :)

Time to lighten the mood a little as we all love speed (not the drug either)

Ok to answer the question:

https://www.msnbc.com

not a mention of COVID-19 unless you really dig...

https://www.cbsnews.com/#app

And of course worthless CNN

https://www.cnn.com

don’t see much COVID-19 there....

where do you get your news? Asking for a friend....

Oh and can’t forget

BTW don’t put me in a class with those. From what I’ve read their pains in the a**. I’m not trolling if you will. Just talking is all. Nothing more.

Cool story, bro. Could've fooled me. That is definitely the group you are a part of the way you talk. And tell your friend it is they're not their.

The news naturally pivots to whatever the hot button topic is at the moment. Just because the current turmoil is being followed feverishly by all news media doesn't mean Covid-19 is gone or forgotten.

Be realistic.

^Wait! You're telling me, that the news talks about what is currently happening at the moment? No wonder I haven't seen much on '98 Olympics.

Literally found each sites page about Covid on the homepage. Some didn't even require me to scroll down, the links were in the header. I never once had to "really dig".

Kinda sounds like you are intolerant towards those who disagree with you. Very open minded of other opinions you must be, sir!

why does everyone on here think that all other posters are from the internet afterlife? I’m relatively new but keep seeing this over and over again.

I belong to a lot of FB local communities where people have crazy opinions that I don’t agree with. But I don’t spend my evenings trying to figure out who is who. I leave it be, and get my good nights sleep. Maybe something to consider.

Are you just liking old rides or what the heck are you talking about.. I’m very confused?

I was following along for a minute but then got lost.

Pointing out the irrationality of your argument is not intolerance.

Brandon

I don’t have a horse in this race, I’m not part of the argument. I just wonder how it benefits anyone when, upon disagreeing with someone, people say “oh you must be so-and-so” and your opinions therefore don’t matter.

Its a very weak way to go about an argument IMO, trying to discredit those you disagree with instead of debating on the merits.

If you actually took the time to read through this forum, you would know all the same things you have been saying, have been debated. Except the points you are trying to make have no merit. All anecdotes and opinions. The same as all the other new accounts that were created this month that have the same views and opinions that you've shared. Coincidence? Probably not.

If you’ll scroll back and take a look you will find my only post on this was citing actual CDC data. Not anecdotes and opinions. Opinions based on the data, yes, but not just wild theories.

Your post did no such thing. It was a meaningless claim that the virus was blown out of proportion, with zero substantiation. It's no different than saying gravity doesn't exist. Saying something doesn't make it true.

The virus has killed more than 100,000 people while we practiced social distancing for much of its spread.

Remember, these are the people who called us names, exhibited racism and declared we're a bunch of sad jerks. And yet they keep coming back.
