That would be my guess (unfortunately... there's too many!), but I'm surprised it has not been announced (or discussed here?). I'm glad it's getting some love because it would look terrible (a vacant old ride building) within a semi-remodeled BS midway and a totally new Valravn/marina midway. It would be cool if the interior was pirate themed or had pirate memorabilia, whatever it is :P

Is it just me or does it look like they've newly paved perimeter road from the toll booths to the marina entrance, and slightly moved it away from the park (probably new regulations on side walks/width of road)?

I thought that as well because I thought I saw steam rollers near the end of the black pavement close to the new marina entrance.

Looking back at last weeks time lapse video, it does show them ripping up the road

New paving:because it's looked like absolute crap for years.
And in recent years, the damaging pot holes and ruts have gotten very bad.
People driving RVs/buses/Boats/Cars worth multiple $100,000.00s probably voiced concerns with having to navigate this area especially near the employee drop off/buss parking/ marina overflow lots.

^that would have been me, except for the 100k pricetag.

Looks like there's a new interactive kiosk within the new marina midway. How cool! Hopefully they add more to the park.

There's also some sort of TV on in the Valravn plaza. It's in the area where Tony said there would be a display about the backstory of the ride.

Is that a pond between the airtime hill and the midway to the North?

I think it will be a landscaping focal point with bigger trees

I'm still interested to see that wall after the dive loop up close and why it's such a "surprise".

Hopefully that is a joke. I hated that idea at STR.

It is indeed a joke. Though, I like the idea for water rides.

I saw "the wall" up close today. So far it is just a castle-wall with four large windows, with glass, so you can watch the ride pass behind it. What is there looks nice. They are still working on the wall and the area around it.

I was just thinking about all of the new heavy foot traffic in this area and I would have to think more people would be riding Blue Streak also now. You know what this area needs now besides refreshments, bathrooms! I'm thinking/ hoping that the old Pirate Ride building might have been converted for this purpose.

They can always use the Chickie and Petes bathroom. ;)
