Ah well those are definitely regular lights. We still don't know for sure what kind of "special" lights they are going to be doing. We'll find out for sure very soon. Though, we can guess as to how long it'll last. ;)

With respect to the on ride photo, wouldn't it make more sense for the picture to be taken when the train passes behind the castle wall? Tony did not specifically say it would occur after first drop , instead he responded to a question during a Periscope that he thought it would be there. Do you really want a bunch of strobes going off every 80 seconds or so right there at ground level on the new entrance midway?
Well that's where Gatekeeper's on ride photo is, but I would agree. I think it would make sense having it behind the castle wall
I believe Banshee's on ride photo is right out in the open after the first dive loop and it has never really bothered me.

They wouldn't necessarily be visible from the midway. They'd be pointing up obviously, and could be mounted above ~6'.

True but even then the flash will still flood the whole area at night. There really isn't a good way around that happening unless you have your cameras in a tunnel like on Millennium Force.
I see what you're saying. You wouldn't see the lights themselves, but would see the riders illuminated. I see no issue with that. No reason to sacrifice the on ride photo for the benefit of onlookers.

You know if they would just let everyone bring their own cameras on the rides we wouldn't need those pesky on-ride photos anymore. They are so big a bulky.
Baynum Painting has posted some cool photos of their guys painting the finishing touches on Valravn.

On Cedar Point's Snapchat, they posted a picture of the landscaping near the bottom of the first dive. At the edge of the picture, you can see the onride camera, confirming that it is at the bottom of the first dive. I'd post the picture, but i have no idea how to do it on my phone.
EDIT: Post Credit to @CoasterNews, photo credit to Cedar Point
EDIT
I see all kinds of permanent fencing around the low zones and there by the marina gate but I'm curious about the remainder of the perimeter. Surely they're going to put up more fencing right?
The rest of the infield for the ride is already fenced off from the midway. You'll see some mulch and some planters on the side of the fence nearest to the midway, with grass growing on the other side.
Have I completely missed something, or do we not yet know exactly what that wall is for after the dive loop?
It's looking quite fancy, and does not look at all like it will be covered.
Promoter of fog.
I honestly don't even have a guess. It looks like it will be some sort of guest-interaction for sure, so you go up to the wall and...

I am watching the webcam and it looks like someone was riding Valravn. As you are facing the train it was front row all the way to the left side.
