By looking at the picture of the lift theres no way a lift could fit were u started it. It would have to be back much farther.
Off topic but does anybody no which podcast was the one at the end of CP 2005 season will Kinzel talking. I was there but i would like to here it again. *** Edited 6/2/2006 1:36:57 AM UTC by RKilbane04***
I said it was a guess. Since no one knows how high the hill would be (assuming there is a lift), you can't say there is not room for it. I was just trying to put something out there with track to match the footer patterns. I would be interested to see how you would make it work.

They all look strange, I tried to make them as 3D as possible... Except the last one, that's a 'General Layout' figure... I guess.
Actually, you can ignore the last one because that area with the crap load of footers in a strait line look like they're for a lift of some kind, with a station/brake run/something under it.

I think we can bet to see a new style of supports somewhere in this coasters layout.

Spank you, spank you very much;)
What do you mean by "new style of supports"?
As far as I know there are 3 ways:
The Intamin way, which is over doing it and costs more.
The B&M way, which is as simple a possible, and looks the best.
And Arrow/Morgan, which is Box supports on the whole thing except the helix's...
It's a little general, but you get the idea...

There are only a couple things wrong with your layouts...
1) there are no inversions ;)
2) there are a lot of footers, and therefore, layout missing.
I was looking at this picture,
http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?a=461
trying to figure out what the heck would require the four rows of large footers behind WWL's station, and I came up with something I don't think anyone has mentioned...
Interlocking loops, but obviously not like the perpendicular ones found on The Loch Ness Monster seen here
http://www.coasterbuzz.com/rollercoasterphoto.htm?i=1274
but instead where the track for each element is parallel to the other. I'm not talking successive inversions either. One could be towards the beginning of the ride (and be large) while the last one could be later in the ride (and be smaller). What do you guys think? I don't think it's been done on any other loopers out there, but it seems like it could be fun, and definitely look cool.
What do you guys think?

I guess what I mean by new style of support I mean a style like CP hasnt done yet. EX: MF's lift or TTD's tower.
Basically they'll be layed out in an odd fashion according to space. Im just basing this off the odd layout of footers by the WWL station
Here's some other Intamins that have interesting support designs.

Well, Both those coasters are strained for space and needed interesting supports to hold them up...
I don't think this ride will have inversions. I have reasons, but I'm really lazy so I'll wait a week or so... But I'd rather have a few hundred airtime hills then a billion loops... Besides, most non-loopers are better then loopers.

Jeff has pretty much said this will not be an aquatrax, which leaves essentially nothing left from Intamin except either a megalooper or a prototype. I'm leaning toward a prototype. Going along with the "put two and two together" clue from the blog, has anyone considered that this may be some sort of tilt coaster? Just before the train goes, the two rails of both ends of track come together. I personally doubt it, but think it may be possible. Someone also posted something about a Stengel design that never was built that dealt with rotating tracks and different potential layouts. I really doubt either of these would be built at CP, especially since Jeff said this was their best decision in years, but it's possible.
He said all those things? How do you know he wasn't playing?
The "put two and two together" thing has been explained already, and just means that there building a coaster, nothing else, at all.
I think a Huge Multi-looping monster would look bad in frontier town, I wanted a floorless before this all started, but now I think an Aquatrax-Powder Keg type attraction would be much better, and can do more then a Multi-looper can do... And is more family frendly.
If you want to ride looping coasters, go visit Magic Mountain, they have a lot there.
Anyway, I made another dumb little drawing, I think it all makes sense, but if you don't get it, that's too bad... http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/8438/38052np.jpg

I don't know that he wasn't playing, but I'd tend to believe he wasn't. I don't think the "put two and two together" clue has been explained at all, honestly. How do you know that the clue just means it's a coaster?
It's basically common sense... The GP reads that blog too and they probably don't know what a footer is or what it looks like. T&T just hinted them that footers+construction= new roller coaster...
It was explained in detail in another thread, he even used an example...

The point is that you don't know what the clue means unless you know what the new ride is. Do you know what it is? If not, then you don't know for sure what the clue means. Your explanation makes sense, but it certainly isn't fact.
Unless of course he's right. In which case whether he knows it or not it is fact.
Also, can someone point me to where Jeff said its not an aqua trax?
I think all that's been eliminated is anything but Intamin and 500'.
Oh, and I doubt this will be a prototype. They've already got an Intamin prototype, and we all saw how thats worked so far (but looking better this, its 4th year)

Goodbye MrScott
John
Well all of the drwings you guys have made look good but why would they start this early with those simple designs? I have to think it will be some kind of proto type. I really wanted a 500 ft. version of millennium force though. Imagine the G's. Well I guess I'll just have to wait til august.
