Update: 5/28 aerial and staging area

I doubt it'll be a 'Wing Walker', they look gay.

Also, they're too wide. I think if the track will be as low as I think it'll be going over that pond, the seats on the right side will be touching the water... Which would be equal to doing a belly flop off a 100 story building and smacking the concrete sidewalk...

You must be referring to the Intamin ride going in to Port Aventura this year, but I have a hard time believing that CP is up for one of those.

Yeah, it's no doubt that's what Veritas is hinting at and that Port Aventura thing does sound alot like everyone was speculating though -- new prototype, heavy trains, low launched acceleration over water. Apparently no inversions though on the one in Spain? Well, if that is it then maybe CP will put an additional spin on it. Oh yeah...and it said much of the ride goes through a tunnel if I remember correctly...maybe that's another reason to start early (things to build for theming).

No problem, Britt. You actually started heading in the right direction with your last post about the "put 2 + 2 together" clue -- that does refer to the coaster train. But then you looked in wrong direction to X in California. Turn you gaze in the exact opposite direction. But where to look? Well, consider the language I used in my posts, and that will tell you exactly where to look. Remember, CP's coaster will not be the only of its kind in existence. To quote Yoda: "there is another . . . "

That does provide any clarification??

Are you referring the the Intamin Invert called Tornado in Madrid?

I really hope it isn't the Tornado train type. Not only is it not that creative to be given this much hype, but the supports are so hideous!!! It would so clash with the mystique of Frontier Town!

I really hope it is the one in at Port Adventura...That one sounds "muy emocionado"

(very exciting)
Oh yea..Thank you Veritas for the clarification, it defintiley sounds interesting regardless!

I agree with you britt that coaster was not the best to look at and it isn't fitting for all the hype...but only time will tell. :)

You didn't know about Wicked Twister? They also made Volcano, the Blast Coaster at King's Dominion among others. And it won't be inverted because they already have two, the aforementioned WT and Raptor.

Well I'm sorry I have no evidence, but I still believe that this ride will be an Intamin Looper, 150' tall or so, as many others seem to believe as well.

I think it will be similar to these...

If we begin to see twisting 2-rail track, I think it's pretty much set in stone. But until then...who really knows.

just my 2 cents :)

I'm sorry, but did someone just get obsessed enough with roller coasters to assign them sexuality?

Or did I miss another "How to be an immature teenager" memo?

Hey, does anybody remember the name of Tom Cruise's character in Top Gun???

Lt. Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell.

Clearly, Maverick will be either be a B&M invert, Vekoma SLC, or an Arrow suspended. The Intamin track was there just to confuse us, and it will be themed to Top Gun since CF just bought the Paramount licensing. ;)

I would never say Pointbuzz just hit an all time low, because Pointbuzz is the greatest site on the web.

But, this "Project 2007" forum hits all time lows each and every second of the day. Walt post new pics, and there's discussion, then someone totally throws the talk completely off topic and says "Is this a new coaster?" or something to that matter. We're trapped in a circle that is never ending.

I can't be the only one who thinks this way.

Has anyone ever been on an intamin looper like the ones we're showing here...To me it seems that they offer the "same ole stuff", and don;t look as much fun as the B&M.

It may just be my personal bias to B&M on loopers, but i just want to know what we're in for if it is in actuality a standard intamin mega looper, because if they are sweet, it sounds like there's a prototype train, so it has to be even better (theoretically of course :) )

Storm Runner (the first rocket coaster with inversions) is always being voted the best launch coaster. I've only heard the restraints hurt you while going through the snake dive.

I am with ya Gomez. It will never stop, I wish the madness would stop.

With ya, Gomez, but when the conversation is actually relevent to the ride, and the brainstorming is actually going on, it's great to be a part of it.

I wish people would grow brains and start using logic to speculate... Like, "Considering the distance between these two footers, I predict the turn will be this tall..."

I also don't like it when people claim to know what it is, but they give clues and try to make it look like they know. If you really knew what it was and were posting here giving 'clues', you already crossed the line and might as well go all out...

I also want to point out that, sure people are having fun and are excited about this, but there's a diffrence between being excited and just being stupid, and the majority of posts on this page, are stupid...
