Maverick. one amazing ride! first person from the SC gates to ride on its opening day! besides red cross
Maverick rides = 18
well, here is just a thought regarding the 2+2 idea. 3 Past roller coasters have been intamin. 2+2=4. From the staging area pictures, as well as the rest of the talk around here, it's intamin again. That adds up to 4 intamin roller coasters. the 2+2 is possibly referring to the total of 4 intamin roller coasters. It's kinda strectched out but it makes sense!!!!

I just thought of something. What if that last turn was similar to something like this. That would be a fun unique turn, and they could create something where it turns like this and goes into a helix like sugguested on page 12. http://www.rcdb.com/ig1565.htm?picture=42

Unless of course he's right. In which case whether he knows it or not it is fact. Also, can someone point me to where Jeff said its not an aqua trax?
Oh, and I doubt this will be a prototype. They've already got an Intamin prototype, and we all saw how thats worked so far (but looking better this, its 4th year)

I love the logic: he may be right, but we have no way of knowing; however, if he is, then it's a fact. Well, thanks, you have just explained exactly what it isn't a fact -- because we don't know whether or not he's right.
I just want to have a turn that looks something like this!

How sick would that be???

Thanks for the podcast. Mr. Kinzel said they have rides for 08 and 09 season too. But first lets get done with this ride first before we think other coasters.
Don't know if we've covered this but, to our current knowledge, what sort of trains are in the Intamin arsenal?

Muy bien, muy bien.
My thoughts on Project 2007:
It won´t break height, speed, length or inversion records. ("enthusiasts may be dissapointed" - quote Jeff).
It wont be your ordinary coaster. This is going to be very unique - I´m sure CP has something up their sleeve with this one. ("...I think we´ll all be happy campers..." - quote Jeff)
Just imagine folks; a new rollercoaster for Cedar Point. Just the thought of going through Frontier Town with a new great coaster standing there... gives me goosebumps ;)

huhh??? Can someone translate?
You don't need a literal translation of the phrase -- the answer to the "put 2-and-2 together" clue is right in my response, and actually kind of in your response too.
(In any event, the phrase I wrote in spanish simply said "the answer to the "put 2-and-2 together" clue is not difficult to guess.")
Sorry to be so cryptic, but there is no fun if you just come right out with it, is there??

Referring back to the comment made about a tilt coaster. I didn't understand what it was, but on RCT 3 i came across it. It's literally like an elevator for a lift hill. It positions itself on a flat section of track, and this track is attached to a perpindicular "lift hill" and it carries the flat track, with the train on and is raised straight up to the desired height, which may solve alot of room crunching for the rest of the ride. Another interesting twist to this idea is that the rail the train is being raised with, can turn 90 degrees and flatten off like a normal hill, therefore making the train, attached to the track point directly down. The train would attach to the rest of the ride and go from there... I'm not saying this is what's going to happen but it does make one curious when the quote at the park says "we're going in a whole different direction". A completely vertical lift system. I have a feeling we're not going to be disappointed in 2007 whatever it may be!

Well, I can't image the team of Intamin and CP not breaking at least one record, or creating a new one.
Given the challenges of the last few Intamin installations, I also think the new ride will be designed to be as reliable as MF. I don't see a verticle lift, though the footers currently in place could support one I suspect. Too many moving parts that could fail, and not right after TTD (imo).
I remember someone saying this ride would be the second of it's kind - mabe a remote cable lift like El Toro? Would also love to see the new Intamin trains that resemble a 4D - now that would be a treat.
Patiently waiting for Aug.

Disaster Transport and Jr. Gemini were also built by Intamin so there goes that theory.
well i was going for consecutive roller coasters, but your right.

okay... why dont you people think about something else other than the 2+2 deal. there are other clues...
theres also:
"howdy, pardner! a storms a-brewin"
"ya'll up for some serious sidewindin?"
"the winds of change are a-blowin"
"we're goin in a whole new direction"
"hold on to your spurs"
"put two and two together"
okay, so we understand the classic southern theme. we understand that it's being built by intamin. if you look at the sign clues, i'd say that sure, the track maybe twisty and loopy and what not, but i'd also go as far as to say that the trains are gonna be something mindblowing and insane. Anything as simple as seating arrangements like "face/off" (seats facing eachother) to the trains spinning around and whatnot like "X". to be honest, even though the track doesn't resemble "X" track at all, it could still be very similar to what X does, only intamin style. hold on to your spurs??? this could be the least useful clue, but it could have some meaning. maybe its a floorless, and your feet are going to be dangling, which will want you to "hang on to your spurs". so, i'm gonna take a guess and say its going to be a floorless, 4D-like, seats facing eachother, megalooping intamin roller coaster thats going to be so crazy, wild, and mindbending to the point of insanity, they're going to need a set of nurses waiting to take care of sick riders at the ride exit.
thats just my prediction... tell me what you think
