No Aqua Trax. Pretty please?
Totaly off topic but we just had a bomb threat at our school. *** Edited 5/24/2006 5:52:12 PM UTC by CP4eva'04***

101 on Magnum and counting...
I know that I shouldn't assume things, but one would imagine that if it was indeed an Aqua Trax ride going in, the ride would be designed to be a more "family friendly" ride, and most family friendly rides don't have inversions. Then again, I've not seen any video of Atlantis Adventure, and maybe it's much more intense than the pictures show it to be.

I think we can pretty much rule out Aqua Trax. :)

Even David Copperfield couldn't pull this much BS out of thin air if he was at a dairy farm.

I guess I thought I asked a fair question, but I guess not. I'll try to ask more well-thought out questions in the future.

Some of you guys are completely are completely stuck on this idea for a looper. Especially Cp4Eva. Like seriously how does a few pieces of track exactly mean a looper. OH MAN the track curves inward and twists, it HAS to be a looper. Let me throw a little curve into this one... Consider the twist track could be things...like...

Anybody follow that construction over in australia of Superman Escape. Hmm, lets take a look at that one shall we....

Looper!

Oh my god its a LOOPER!
Seriously we have like 10 pieces of track laying there, All happen to be a curved in. I'm not saying it can't be or it won't be a looper or have inversions, but there is NO WAY to tell just by these few pieces.
To add to this, I have not seen any footer patterns with a right or left displacement yet which would be required for a loop. All have been either straight, single and double or curved single or double wide.

For the record, I haven't blown up on anyone, but I also haven't spoken out against what this ride could or couldn't be until this very update.
Call it stupid, bad luck, or whatever you want.. but please don't associate me with some of these crackpot theories. I have probably been the biggest supporter of just sitting back and letting things unfold until this very update.
Man this board is hostile sometimes..
I'm not calling you out, actually, you've provided some good discussion (albeit opposite from mine).
Its the ones who keep throwing out asinine suggestions or have no basis for what they are saying. Saying "I think it could be this, look at this pic" isn't a problem. Saying "It can't be Aqua Trax" with no backup isn't.
Even Jeff Y (though I disagree with his assumption) had a good argument. If aqua trax are family rides, and inverted rides aren't, then if these are inversion pieces it can't be an aqua trax. He backed it up.The only flaw is that we don't know that these are pieces for an inversion.
Too many times here people disagree and someone gets offended because someone else disagrees with them.

By George, I think he's got it!
I'm not trying to be a hypocrite or anything, but I'm happy whenever someone realizes the difference between rumors in discussion and claims without thinking.
I know that Jugga and myself often see things differently but that doesn't make me like him any less as a poster. I respect him and his ideas, and having different points of view allow for new ideas to come up. Trying to have this respectable relationship with other posters just makes for an easier day for all of us. :)
I've been trying to ride a fine line between not jumping up and down screaming "I THINK IT'S THIS OMGOMGOMGSAG!!!!" and not saying anything at all. This happened to be my first attempt at guessing what it is. Maybe I'm wrong. If I am, oh well, the world keeps on spinning and the ride is still going to be built.. whatever it.
I just get bothered when someone doesn't bother to post WHY they think a certain thing. With my post on page 1 about it having inversions, at least I put links with pictures that explained what I saw and what I was thinking. It's completely different when someone, ANYONE, comes in thinking they know more than anyone else does. We have some track that has shown up and we all see the same thing at this point. I think that a couple people here know what's going on but they sure aren't going to be talking, so what more can we do? Just be patient and not go postal on each other. That also means not doing anything to make anyone go postal, though. ;)
I can't imagine what it's like to be Walt or Jeff and constantly have to deal with people, with almost EVERYONE on these boards, seemingly talking out of their butts all the time.
I agree with Jugga and Grovite, If we all had the same opinion it would get pretty boring around here. Example; Poster #1 "I think the new coaster is ______."
Poster#2 me too
Poster #3 me too
Poster#4 me too
And so on, just my thoughts

I don't know about you guys but I think Storm Runner is pretty sweet, I just needs to be longer, 2 minutes maybe? How is it's reliability? better than TTD?
First trip June 23rd
I've heard that Storm Runner has been operating very well since it opened. I've never been to the park, but I have heard praises for it's reliability.
All of the Intamin Rockets other than TTD and KK have all been running very well. I've heard reports of trouble when they first open (normal for new rides), nothing else.
