Ben just e-mailed some staging area photos from this morning, where track continues to arrive.

Also, Bryan (SN: Loopy) e-mailed some site and staging photos from yesterday:

Thanks guys. Wow that looks like it is going to be a lot of concrete.

Yeah. I find this one to be particularly interesting.

Brandon

Curved lift? Splashdown area?

Just curious...what happened to the 5/23 update that appeared on the site yesterday and then magically disappeared? I know I posted on a thread about it.

Jeff Young

Yay we get a looper.

How can you tell that its a looper? How can you tell its anything at this point?

Curved lift? Splashdown area?

Splashdown area was my first thought.

Brandon

I am almost convinced that it will be a looper at this point.

This picture shows track that all but guarantees some kind of inversion (barrel roll):

And this picture shows a piece that could be placed in a loop that moves the train to the side so that it can exit:

Not sure what you mean. Everything that was posted yesterday is still there.

I agree that there are pieces that could suggest inversions, but that first pic could just as easily be a RH-to-LH banked curve transition. And the second could simply be a curved piece of track.

Grovite: Couldn't that first picture also show a track that pulls out of an overbanked turn?

All I see is a bunch of curved pieces of track. I think loops are pretty likely, but just looking at the track right now doesn't tell us anything.

That's also true. I thought long and hard about that linear, twisted piece, but it seemed to me that it just twisted too much to be a turn. I imagined it connecting to another piece that, at it's most minimal twist, would keep it going in the same direction, suggesting an inversion.

I might be getting ahead of myself but those are just my observations. At least they're pretty relevent instead of still saying it'll be a B&M or something. ;)

djDaemon's avatar

Wait - its not a B&M?!?

;)

^ I still say that's Mack track ;-)

Whoops..I've said too much.

You never know, I could just be getting ahead of myself again! ;)

Not sure what you mean. Everything that was posted yesterday is still there.

My fault. What I meant to say was what happened to the thread that had to do with the 5/23 update. Sorry for the confusion.

That's actually a good question. Not sure what happened to that one.

Wait, I though Anton designed this before he died?

Well then, I guess I'll ask my question again. If this twisted track is for an inversion, have we finally ruled out Aqua Trax?
