thinkin about applying.. i have a few questions.

I've never worked rides, but if I did I think my first choice would be either Wicked Twister or Raptor. I guess I just like the inverts.

i worked wicked twister for about two months last summer, it's good times, if you have any questions ask away and i'll do my best to answer...

One of my friends just had a phone interview and she was wondering how long does it usually take for them to let you know if you was hired or not? Do they call you and let you know or email?

Twisted Sister, how hard is the visual test for Wicked Twister. Also isnt it easy to time saying clear..launching in..3..2..1 and hitting the button at just the right time after a while of practice??

Start checking online at https://jobs.cedarpoint.com after a few days. Her contract will appear online at least a few days before she gets it in the mail. Once her contract is in the computer, the JobNet website will change over to training mode and she will be able to view and accept her contract online and read about training, processing in, etc. on the website.

I was hired on January 10, and my contract came online on the 17th if that gives you any idea of when to start looking, but it could vary a little depending on how backed up they are with paperwork.

Did they tell you on the phone that you were hired when you had your phone interview? He told her that he would call her in a week and let her know. Only thing that the jobnet said was before she had her interview it said it was last reviewed by and it displayed a name and a date. Then after she had her interview it changed to your application is now available for review by our hiring managers and we expect to fill most positions by may 1st and if we need additional inforamtion we will contact you via email or phone.

wickeddragster88, we don't take visual boards at WT. not sure why not, i think it's because leadership always has to be in controls/at load 1.

also, you'll get the hang of the 2second delay pretty fast. the only thing is that sometimes you'll be rushing to hit interval and it throws off your counting. but when you first start, you can always count 3,2,1 fairly slowly, with a second in between, since it's a 2 second delay, and just hit the button right after you say 3.

in any case, you'll launch so many trains that within a few weeks you'll be able to time it correctly in your sleep.

So do you mean that leadership mainly runs the controls of Wicked Twister?

Also so when i start work on June 13 that means after training at each position i can start right away after that running the controls?

no, you should get to work controls almost evenly with everyone. leadership will always be either in there with you (doing paperwork) or at unload 1 -- which is right outside the control booth. (we'd normally rotate over unload 1 so the TL/ATL can be there). and you'll probably get trained on controls your first or second day there, depending on how many new people they have to train, amongst other factors.

I can't wait to start working at Wicked Twister it is one of my favorite rides at Cedar Point.

i'm not working WT this summer, i'm moving over to the second best coaster (raptor) but i'll be back to visit many times!

Wicked Twister doesn't have VB because there's only 1 train...basically it's a big Circular....

I am looking through a lot of different pictures on different website from different Cedar Point Employees and I am seeing that there is a ID Card with the employee's name on it and then there is a season pass with the employee's name and picture on it. Does Cedar Point Issue all Cedar Point Employee's with a Season Pass? Would that be how we clock-in and clock-out each morning and night?

^You are able to gain access to the park with your employee ID when you are not working.

The thing that looks like a season pass with the photo on it is actually the back side of your name tag. It has your employee ID # on it as well as a photo and barcode. When you try to enter the park, the dorms, etc. security will scan your ID to verify that you are a current employee. The barcode is also what you use to clock in and out every day.

And in case you were wondering, you do not need to get your hand stamped when you leave the park.

.. But if you don't have your ID on you, how can they prove you're an employee? ;)

ALWAYS carry your ID with you. Simple as that. Just wait until security is knocking on the bathroom door asking to see your ID at 8:30 in the morning.

I entered the park, Got a handstamp, and put my ID in my car on many occasions. :)
