LIVE FOR FUN!
MagnumFAN is back! But now he's a ShoelessRider!
i thought both the TA2Ks were under 200 ft?
i think that would be fun... flying through the woods.... bugs in your face.... and you could see a lot of the park, too
Isn't that exactly what Millennium Force Does? In my opnion, Cedar Point is in no need for another speed machine. And considering how long it took Cedar Fair to build a launched coaster at one of their parks, I think it will be a fair amount of time before we see another of the launched variety at Cedar Point.

Yeah I know, I spelled Millennium wrong, so lay off! j/k
Do you have any idea how much revenue that area has brought in??? dead space transformed into $$$, and adding a great area that compliments the other resort sections. It's always booked solid. There is plenty of room on the peninsula for more rides / coasters. It's all about utilizing space.
What you have to remember about thrust air coasters is that another major benefit of them is that their track footprint it relatively minimal. In other words, even at the highest point in the ride, the supports are still pretty much in line vertically with the track. If you recall, Cedar Point looked very highly upon this factor in selecting Intamin to design MF, since they could do the same thing it's first hill, as opposed to say B&M, who's supports are spread out extremely wide. Passing over the island twice with a coaster like this would hardly take up the available space... Also, the area from Troika to Area 51 is no where near large enough for a thrust air of descent magnitude. Just take a look at Dodonpa, the first turn of that thing is practically the size of CP's island. And as far as CF launched coaster trends of the past, (which are non-existant), I'd honestly say that it means nothing. We're living in a different era, and CP would only naturally want to keep up with the trends... Whether that means launched coasters or not.
Somehow I just couldn't CP using all that space for one ride, if Florida Coaster Rider's theory is accurate. It seems to me they could save the island for bigger and better things, and just use the straight line from Troika, Chaos, and Area 51 for an S&S.
So I say, CP slams SFWOA again. They just did with WT, now do it again with....oh how about a B&M flying coaster. It's smoother, breaks down far less...and B&M. Just goto B&M and say I want the tallest, longest flying coaster, with the most inversions breaking the inversion record of any coaster in the world.
I would love to see B&M return to CP with a record breaker and INTENSE coaster that never lets up from the start, you know no time to catch your breath at all. And no I'm not one of those that say B&M's new coasters are not intense and are boring.

Now THAT is funny!
If they want to give the bird to WoA, shouldn't they put up a 300' tall tower in the middle of Wicked Twister?

If you had a friend who was a tightrope walker and one day you are walking down the street with him and he suddenly tripped & fell, that would be completely unacceptable.
