WOW!!! 507 posts now!! What is the record?

I'm not sure, but I think it's well over 1000 (the Wicked Twister thread in Oct/Nov).

While it's "fun" to see the employee responses, I really wouldn't take any of them too seriously...

Perhaps CP will build a new observation tower and Space Spirl will be taken out. The possible new tower would be more towards the middle of the park which seems a logical place for an observation tower to be in the first place. Of course it would be built in CP fashion with multiple levels one of which being a rotating place to eat. Just a thought.

Nice detective work...I think that there is definitely someone big going in by some of the repsonses you got. I wonder if the employees will get freaked by all the questions they will probably be asked at CoasterMania from all the enthusiasts...:)

Haha, it's always fun to ask, but to be honest, I doubt if any of them knows any more than the people on this board. I know I worked there last year and I did not know much of anything beyond what I read here. :) The truth is - seasonals know very little. They'll spread rumors, but they don't really know...

There are several footers, not just the ones behind the fence. There are also footers on the island. But we (hint hint) really don't know anything."

Well, if I would believe this person, it sounds like a coaster.

i just got back from cedar point....had to come home early cuz my cusin got sick...*UGH*...but anywayz...i did get a chance to ask around and the information i got was HOT....i asked a few people....but one of the Ride ops told me this "Something big is already being planned for 2003"...i don't know if its true or not....but thats just what i heard.

o yea and i don't think a revolving restaurant is really that "big"....i could really see that Arrow Fish hook being there...spanning over the millenium force island....Arrow did file for chapter 11...but it doesn't mean its out of buisiness yet...it could still build coasters...i hope Intamin Ag or B&m buys it out.

POSSIBLE PARTS FOR NEW RIDE SIGHTED TODAY!!!!!!!! I was on my way back from Sandusky and on the 80/90 Turnpike in one of the service plazas I spotted a ssemi which looked to be carrying cars for a type of flat ride. Although I have no idea what type of flat ride it is for, it looked like one that would flip you around and what not. Being that I am not sure exactly what it was, I am going to tell you that they were red and black. So if these werefor Area 51, we'll know if I did see it if they are red and black.

Anyway, I couldn;t get a pic or anything because I was going west and it was stopped on a service plaza going east. I have a funny feeling this may have been the new attraction for CP. We'll just wait and see. Remember, black and red, if I am right.

I know it is probably just wishful thinking, but did the cars look at all like a 4-D's? Those cars basicly look like a flat's spinning ride (that's how the idea was though up :)). Describe the cars if you can...any details.

what time did you see the truck?....cuz i was there today and i did not see no semi trucks or anything there.

I saw the truck at about 6:15 pm at an eastbound service plaza while I was going westbound. So if you were coming to CP from Maumee exit, it would be the first service plaze you would see. Sorry, but they didn't look like Arrow 4-D cars. It looked like they had 4 seats across and a half circle type thing on top of them. It wasn't any carnie ride either, these were quality pieces of whatever they were.

4-across with a half circle...that's definitely new for a flat ride. That sounds somewhat like B&M's patent for what looks to be their version of the 4-D. Sounds like something new to the amusement world.

usually when its a new coaster...the cars are all wrapped up in plastic and you could barely see them....like the millenium force...but then again, as i recall the wicked twister cars did no have anything on them when they were delivered....so i dunno...i was at cedar point till like 7:45 and i did not see any trucks at the park or on my way from the park...so i don't know ...it could be anything.

Ok think guys, if this is a coaster why the hell would the trains arrive before the track? It could be a floorless cheese on a stick stand for all we know, mindless speculation will get us no where. Actual in depth thought and analysis is a whole different story.

well they could keep the trains somewhere.....the millenium force trains were standing there all off season....Really long time.

Why would there be flat ride cars now either? Right now, I'll take anything I can get on speculation. :) I really don't think that we've gotten all that far with analysis and deep thought as of now anyway...

We don't think they are roller coaster cars.

I too was there today, but didn't notice anything strange. Behind the fence is the same old sand pit still.

::giggle:: My son spotted the new wood for the Gemini under the Gemini track and thought it was some sort of "cars." Check it out...makes ya take a second look. But I think it's just replacement wood.
