The footers will support the main tower for a staight up straight down 420 foot coaster to be built by S & S. Speeds are expected to be over 100 MPH. Few details are available but it will use some type of air lift system. The track will be very short with room to brake and return to the station.

So I guess Encyclopedia Brown and the Case of the Mysterious Footers has been solved. Congrats to all.
...Anyways, I'm coming around to the possibility of a HUSS giant (maybe the Delerium or the Giant Frisbee) or possibly a slingshotesque pay-per-ride. The more I think about a coaster, the less it seems likely. Just doesn't add up.

For a MooreOn, I like the way you think. :)
I never thought about moving those dorms to another location. That would free up a lot of room. They could move the roadway and have new, usable space.
I never have stayed there, but the cabins near MS seem to take a lot of space of for what they do.
Wildcat doesn't need footers like that. In fact, I don't remember off hand if it's "attached" to anything.

Digital Daredevil, you realize that those cabins (i.e. Lighthouse Point) are a relatively new addition to the Resorts. No matter how much room they take up, CP isn't about to take them down for another ride.

- The Darling one
The closest I'll ever get to riding a B&M Flyer is looking down while on Raptor... :(
The relocation theory is interesting, but how many 'mobile' rides at CP require such large footers? Maybe we should revisit the 'moving Ocean Motion' theory again...i kinda like that one, too.
EDITED: Or, with Michael Darling's fact, maybe we're back to the Sky Ride theory again? But why would it stretch back to Chaos?
The plot thickens.....wheee! This sure is fun!
