I had a good experience with the TTR. My co-worker & I came up from D.C. just for the coasters last Wed. (7/26) We got there a little after 9 & were almost trampled by the folks running to the open MF line. The line extended way into Frontier Town - almost to the petting zoo. (Heard later that there was a 3 hour wait for those guys.) We just kept on, going up to MS for when it opened at 10ish. (It started late.) We got back to the MF around 12:30 and at 12:45 got a TTR for 1-2. Went over to the Mantis queue - were stuck in that for an hour. There was a group of us that did the same thing, we all just made it before they let the 2-3ers in. But then we had a shorter wait than we'd just had. (BTW may I add how much I adored the fans with misters! Those & the shade were a lifesaver after baking in the Mantis line.)
Over all, because of the TTR the MF line was shorter, for me, than any of the major coasters lines I was on that day. So when the TTR works it really works.

Interesting. I waited when the line was way back past petting farm. I waited about an hour give or take.

Dispatch Master, This is Transport one! I'm losing control, I'm losing control!
Anyone who claims there has ever been a 3-hour wait is exaggerating. There has never been a three hour wait. However, on an extremely busy day I have waited nearly 2 hours. 80% of the time the wait is less then 90 minutes. My average queue time is approximately 75 minutes. Is this too long for the debut of the greatest coaster on the planet? I think not. I think a 3 hour wait would require every part of the queue opened and full. I've never seen this. Have any other people seen the queue completely utilized before?
"There has never been a three hour wait"
Not true. There were 3+ hour waits in May. Of course there were only 1 or 2 trains, but the line was that long.

The line has been three hours long, but at that time they only had two working trains, and one or the other of the working trains kept going down for wheel failures. Now they have three working trains, so when one goes down with a "flat tire" they can still run the other two trains...
I'm guessing that with the entire queue full except the large overflow segment (beneath the final turn) the line...with three trains...would be about 80 minutes. In practice it is longer than that because of frequent, though relatively short, periods of two-train operation.

Excuse me, but my daughter and I have waited 3 hours and 37 minutes to get on MF. Granted this was in May when only 2 trains were running and there were various issues to work out.
Also in may there was 1 day when the queue didn't open until 12:45PM. If you take into consideration us getting in line at 9:00, then that's 3hours and 45 minutes plus the walk through.
But seriously, there really has never been a 3 hour wait with 3 trains running, as long as there have not been any delays. Take July 22nd. The whole queue was filled at night about 10:00PM when we got in line. It only took approx. 2 hours to get on the ride. That's pretty good if you ask me. And all 3 trains were running without any downtime.

I'm not a local or a CP vet, but this tuesday and wednesday (8/2 & 8/3) and friend and I made great use out of the TTR system. In those 2 days we scored 27 coaster rides. 8 of them were MF's, 3 of the 8 by using the TTR. The strategy goes like this:
Ride MF as soon as the park opens.
Get off, ride Mantis since it's right there.
By this time it will be nearly 11 and time to stand in line for TTR's.
Get your TTR, wait 30 minutes, drink soda, get 2nd TTR.
Go ride some other coasters for 2 hours.
Use first TTR.
Go ride more coasters.
Use second TTR.
Go ride more coasters.
Get back in now-open queue line for MF.
Ride MF on a loop until they close the queue line.
Yes I know you dont get to just stand in the MF queue all day, you actually have to do other things. I dont think it's about getting you to spend your money in the park. Of course some people will, but you can also go ride Gemini about 1,000 times per hour while waiting for your TTR time to come up. That's free.
It is still TOTALLY possible and actually not hard to ride the Force 6+ times in a day, even with the TTR IF UTILIZED PROPERLY! I understand that NEW = BAD to most people, but if you use the system like you say they're using you, it will work.
If you want to ride it that bad, play the game, get your tickets, and ride it every hour. The lines during TTR time were SIGNIFICANTLY shorter (usually 45 min shorter) than during open boarding times. This frees up more time to hit other rides or allows you to use your next TTR back 2 back if you have one for the next hour.
One last comment about this: You know how they run the system, use it to your ADVANTAGE people! TTR is a guaranteed spot on the MF when the line is shorter. I cannot understand why people are against that. You know TTR is there, plan for it instead of against it. (Disclaimer: This is based on my 2 day visit to the Point and may have had a different experience than you, but I'm still Pro-TTR.)

it's NOT the TTR...it's the fact that they CHANGED THE RULES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME, when the game was going just fine the way it was. maybe if TTR had existed from Day One, it wouldn't have been so bad. maybe if they had some way of ensuring that there was NO abuse of the system(read:thought it out a little better), it wouldn't have been so bad. you don't just go and install such a ludicrous system in the middle of the saeson, on a busy Saturday, and expect people to love it. since you had never been there before, you don't know any different. so i am willing to cut you some slack. BUUUTTT, if you had been there in the "good old days" before TTR, you would have seen a calm, peacful line of people who not only didn't seem to mind waiting, they also EXPECTED to wait. if you want to ride, you have to wait is how it was and how it should always be. its the slacker shortcut attitude of TTR that gets me so riled. nothing good ever comes easy and MF should be no exception.
i am STILL anti-TTR and it will probably say that on my tombstone, as i will be anti-TTR forever and a day...

maybe if Jeff sends all this to CP. They will get rid of TTR next year. I mean probably over 200 of these comments, including Part 1, would convince them that TTR is not a good idea.
I don't have to send this anywhere. They read this stuff... trust me.

What the total number of TTR thread posts up to? 285 now?
I believe it's 353 counting the intro post to the topics.
The TTR system should be modeled after the one at Walt Diseny World. It should be optional, available at any time, and there should be a separet line for ticket holders. Also it should be available not only for MF, but also for more popular rides like Magnum, Raptor, Mantis, Mean Streak, and Gemeni(It also wouldn't hurt on rides that get long Queue lines like Disaster Transport).
