For any one wanting a closer look at the trains, the ones in Planet Coaster are probably identical to what they will be. If you skip to about 2 minutes in this link you can see them in the game. It appears that each train will be named after the outlaws the one displayed in the video is Blackjack.
You knuckleheads complaining about the name of this ride are morons. If a model stripped naked in front of you I bet you would head right to your smartphones and Tweet that you didn't like the girl's underwear. Mean Streak is going to go from one of the worst coasters in that park to one of the best coasters in the Country and you are going to be debating about the speed of the freaking lift hill.
"You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world...but it requires people to make the dreams a reality."
-Walt Disney
I am not so interested in the " fastest air time hill" record as I am how fast will it go over that second hill? Power tower provides zero to full gravity. This second hill , not so much a "top hat" as a pretty tight power of a parabola (y=x**z) , combined with speed may do do something special . Cant say enough how tired I am of B&M peaks. Added note: shouldn't the "fastest air time speed hill" not have anything to do with the tangential speed but more importantly the radial speed? That's what I thought at first when I heard the stat and was hoping it referred to the second hill. I would love a mulit directional G force chart as a lower banner on my youtube please.
At least we can finally stop complaining about the myriad of wild ass guesses what the name will be :D
I think the trains look amazing and they have the most unique style to them I've seen.

You hit the nail on the head, I am a moron. I think the name sucks. Will it stop me from riding it as much as possible? Certainly not.
At least I'm not bitching along the lines of "I expected more" or "capacity nightmare". I'm so excited for this ride.
I just wish the name didn't conjure up images of bad hair and pants uncomfortably tight in the crotch (and maybe a cod piece?)
Get over it.

Lifetime Laps on Woodstock Express: 0
Superman: Steel Vengeance
Sounds legit, doesn't it? Could have been much worse. :) As long as I can pronounce it, it is less than 5 syllables and people don't look at me funny when I say the name I am good.
Before the announcement a bunch of overly made up entertainers that I assume were from Lusty Lils (or whatever) were out working the crowd, entertaining the kids and really trying to interact with the impatient crowd. Was a really nice touch and helped pass the time.
Chief you make a great point. Although I doubt I would complain about underwear she took off, I would probably whine about the tattoos. :)
I wonder if those red orbs on the front of the train light up. If so, it will probably provide a cool effect at night.
Also, they got really specific and personal with the details in the story between the two coasters. Apparently, Maverick took Digger's mining business. I just think it's funny that the vengeance involves a company. I wonder if there is a divorce in all of this somewhere.
Like the tv monitor on Valryvn that shows the dispatch time and the seats that aren't good. Hope they do that with this one.
Yes... another distraction for the general public to stop and look at instead of getting in their seats and listening to ride ops.

David Bowie ring a bell? ;P
Hello Ladies hahaha.
As for the name gripes, I don't think anyone hates it. I actually thing "Vengeance" sounds awesome. Just don't care for the steel moniker, it's kinda a GP Name if you catch my drift. Honestly though, it's a minor nitpick, noone here is bashing it as saying "oh it's teh wurst coaser evurrrz." Just...hey y'all have cool names, this isn't a neat name like the past few coasters. Regardless it's probably going to take my favorite coaster spot on point now. I didn't think anything would beat Maverick in terms of raw craziness, that thing is the epitome of an enthusiast coaster. This does everything, and honestly more. Just needs a launch amirite?....Wait, no Lightning Rods!! NO! hahaha

I can't believe the amount of you complaining about the name. That is ridiculous.
I couldn't agree more.
I will say, I for one am very happy that they went with a name that is easy to sound out and easy to pronounce. Not some folklore name that raises more questions than excitement.
Ummm... aren't you complaining about a name here? ;-)
Regarding the ride itself, I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said, but man, this looks to be a tremendous addition to the park.
The capacity may be a question mark, but at the very least this ride will add capacity to the park that MS was not doing, due to its (un)popularity.
Brandon
I'm not all that worried about the capacity. It's the same as Valravn and better than Dragster or Maverick. It's not Magnum, Raptor, Gatekeeper, or Gemini with six trains, but the park has so much more in terms of rides now than when all of those were installed, so maybe the 1200 pph is appropriate.
I'm not sure how the GP will receive the ride either. Will they race to it first thing because it's the new thing and it's going to be amazing or will they see it as a Rougarou'ed Mean Streak? Or will they be scared because it goes upside down without OTSRs. Reading comments on CP's Facebook posts are enough to make the pope cuss.

It's pretty bad when I see that many people saying "The name is growing on me". It reminds me of when a band releases a total crap album (think Depeche Mode) and the fans gradually convince themselves after a little self brainwashing that it's not so bad after all... even when it is.
Regardless, this looks to be the most intense coaster on the face of the planet. As much as I'm looking forward to it, I can't help but wonder if it may not be a little too much for an old person like me, but I guess I will find out. I just wonder if any of those radical moves are going to suffer the fate of the Maverick heartline roll. I'm still fearing that King's Island is going to add brakes to the amazing thrill of Mystic Timbers since it hits that turn so fast. That would definitely kill the excitement a little. I just hope they've tested all of the maneuvers on this beast properly to ensure physically (to people) and structurally that all is well.
At 1:46 - it looks like the vertical bank even has a little bunny hop in it. This thing is going to be crazy.

Or perhaps people simply don't share your (often detestable) opinion.
The name is fine. Unremarkable, sure, but anyone giving more than 0.08 damns about the name has too much free time on their hands, in my opinion.

They don't put signs up rating the intensity of a ride and giving medical warnings for shenanigans and giggles. They're there for the comfort and safety of guests, but I feel a fair number of people ignore them.
P.S. Getting irate with the ride op won't make it any better.

I dont know. When they have Woodstock Express at a 4, the same level as Blue Streak, I'm thinking some of the ratings need reworking.

Most will view it as the coaster that's always been there.
