^ If you go to Winter chill out, you should say that out loud! I haven't really paid too much attention to Steel Vengeance due to being school. Also the fact that this will be my last semester coming up at Stark state. However, from the updates I've been following, I love the activity they've done with it since October. My thought now is how they configure the queue around the layout. Also will it be a straight shot to the stairwell the way it used to be for Mean Streak? I guess we'll find out.
Haha, that's perfect. The year is not that of the dog, but of Steel Vengeance! One thing I am wondering is about the train size. Whether I'll be able to ride or not.

The RMC trains appear very restrictive, but they're actually not bad. I was just at Dollywood with my parents, and I'm 6'6", and my dad is 6'7", and we both fit on Lightning Rod without much difficulty. You "do" need to be able to bend your knees at a sharp angle if you're tall, though. Another person in our group had some knee problems, so she couldn't do it. But other than that, it's really not uncomfortable at all.

I don’t understand because I’m 6’1” and average size and I find them insanely restrictive. Shin bars make you bend your legs awkwardly. From the waist up not bad but the shin bars really take away from my enjoyment.

CP Top 5- 1)MF 2) Maverick 3) Gatekeeper 4) Top Thrill Dragster 5) Raptor
That’s because height is just one of several different factors that go in to how comfortable someone will be on any particular ride. Any number of dimensions of different body parts play into it.
Hmm... Thanks. For reference, I'm only 5' 3", and I weigh in at 251 lb. So far, the only coaster at CP that gives me trouble is Wicked Twister. I'm perfectly fine on Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster, often quick to buckle my own seatbelt before the ride host gets there. So I wonder if I'll be able to ride or not.

2018 - The year of Steel Vengeance.
Any particular parts of this ride you're really looking forward to?! The whole thing looks great, but to me, that first drop looks unparalleled in the back seat.
If we keep referencing 2018 as the Year of Steel Vengeance I will share that Santa brought everyone at my house the all-coveted Platinum Pass. We are so ready!
Spent NewYear's Day in my burgandy Cedar Point hoodie...til it was too warm and swapped out for the awesome Steel Vengeance t-shirts we got last fall. If I didn't mention it before, We are so ready!
At least we made it to 2018, now we wait til The Chill Out, then we wait til May. ...yep, we are still so ready!..bring it on! LoL
Thanks for temporarily distracting me from the hell that is my new year's day. I'm spending my New Year's coughing endlessly and feeling very weak. To answer your question Renegade, I think the outerbank element is going to be cool. Instead of taking an inward turn, they faced you out and you're going to end up getting lateral airtime. It's also going to be weird because it feels like you're going to fall out of the ride. If anything, I'm looking forward to the non-stop airtime. Seriously, when it was announced, I was on board the hype train and watching the progress like a hawk(pun not intended). It feels like you're going to be out of your seat, and it's going to have all I want in a coaster.
Honestly, has anyone given any thought to the battle for Cedar Point? You know, the app where we ally with our favorite coaster and fight it out? Maybe they could add SV into the game and maybe have SV and Maverick duke it out. Perhaps the rides in frontier town(Skyhawk, Snake River Falls, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Thunder Canyon, you get the idea), and each of them are citizens in frontier town that are under Maverick's reign, and they each hold a specific job. Maybe Skyhawk is a wildlife vet who takes care of injured animals, and a falconer who has a loyal hawk she uses to hunt. She also takes care of the medical health of the citizens. Snake River Falls is a lumber company owner that manufactures various timber products and sells to the town and he's a close friend of Sky's, perhaps going back to childhood. He's also kind of a scientist, as he is attempting to make an antivenom to the snakes in the area his company works at. Thunder Canyon could be an adventurous explorer/fisherman that's close with digger.
Basically, the role I see SV playing in the battle for Cedar Point is that along with being their own independent clan duking it out with the coaster clans, they have a secondary goal: liberate the citizens of frontier town from Maverick. In game, I would imagine that Blackjack, Digger, and Chess will occasionally invite your clan(provided you're not playing as maverick) to launch an all-out raid on Maverick. It would likely play out as an FPS minigame where you have to help the citizen attack Maverick and lower his health to zero, and you're rewarded by first a cutscene of Maverick limping off the screen and the outlaws talking to the civilian that was just freed. After freeing the civilian, they give your clan a benefit or something like that along with your clan gaining territory. Again, if you loose, you loose some territory and the ability to attack for a short time. If you're Maverick on the other hand, You have to fight the clan trying to attack you with the outlaws. If you win, you gain territory. If you loose, you loose some territory and the ability to attack other clans for a short time.
"Vengeance igniting the fire in my blood
Paths of destruction, by sword and by flood
Fed to the vultures were friends and good men
Pursuit of dominion, the game never ends"
~Aviators, Lowborn
Honestly, now every time I hear this song from Aviators I think of Steel Vengeance, even though it's a Game of Thrones song. Maybe it could be from Jack, Chess, and Digger's view? Really, I have an interesting headcannon for Maverick and SV's three amigos. Here's the abbreviated version: Maverick is a textbook case of sociopathy. While he did bring success to the town by establishing a mining company, he was able to sweep some of the things he did under the rug to maintain a good public image. Instead of buying a mining company, he forced digger out of his own company. He kicked the three out of the town by targeting them when they have a disaster or something, then plays up everyone's fears of them, and Blackjack, Chess, and Digger left to try and conserve what's left of their reputation after Maverick ruins it. I imagine Digger was pretty well-intentioned as an inventor, but he's had a few disasters from time to time. Maverick also probably disliked how outspoken Chess was, but I can't think of any reason he would target Blackjack before he leaves town.

I have a feeling you will see Blackjack, Digger, and Chess in the Battle for Cedar Point. Otherwise everyone would probably choose Steel Venom and there would be no contest on a daily basis.
Have they ever mentioned stats for the season of which ride character was the most popular and which won the most often? That would be kinda neat.
ROUNDABOUND.
You mean Steel Vengeance?
As for mentioning stats of which character was the most popular for the season, I haven't come across any source that does that. However, the winnners of the day are announced at luminosity. But in all seriousness, imagine how much gameplay potential adding in SV has. What about the idea of frontier town rides serving as Civilians each clan has to save?

Yep, Steel Vengeance... My fault. Can’t even blame auto-correct this time.
ROUNDABOUND.
Do you do the forums with a phone or something? I never really have problems with auto-correct. I also use a laptop. Okay, I just had this thought about the characters for the new ride...Digger vs Maverick. How in the world would Maverick be able to stand a chance against Digger? I mean, he has a prosthetic arm with a GATLING GUN built into it. So yeah, Digger could make short work of Maverick, but if he makes one misfire he could end up killing Chess and Blackjack as well...

Yeah 99% of my online activity is via iPhone. I rarely, if ever, have time to sit at a computer.

Am I missing something? The construction photos seem to have stopped two or three months ago.
Tall and fast not so much upside down...
Presumably they'll continue to add photos over time, as they would have if not for the technical difficulties that prevented them from publishing until now.
Brandon
And I wonder why there should be such excitement for construction photos at this point. Most of us have seen pictures taken in-season or stood by/under it personally. They serve as record shots, which will come in handy someday, but they aren’t exactly news right now.
