Soak City Announcement on

The Golden Ticket awards would be a great time to make some sort of an announcement in regards to the future of the park.

MS is not going to sit as is for months and months, there's a reason site surveys/engineering work were started a few months ago, and that'd be the same reason it's closing early.

Obviously a water slide complex. But the picture (or pictures) doesn't show much at all.

Looks like the slides where the floor drops out below you...but are those pics from another park or did they photoshop them?? Looks like it's very close to TTD??

Yes.

To me, 3 new slides isn't a "water park expansion", just a new attraction. Unless more in is in store in SC/CP Shores later which is sounds like it's possible.

Very excited for a new slide tower, don't get me wrong there. And I guess if this is all that's being added to the waterpark for 2017 along with the rebranding (which I love) there is no reason why Mean Streak can't be a 2017 project.

Looking forward to the additional information as it's released! Still hoping for a bowl slide!

Maybe they will integrate the beach into the water park.

It's a safe bet that along with the new name, there will be updates throughout the existing water park.

Why would they fence in a section of beach when they can (and already do) have sandy areas within the existing water park?
