Thank's...will do.

I loves me some voyage.:)

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Too bad the Timberliners won't be ready though.

^^ doesn't Voyage have a 48 inch requirement? How can the entire family ride? :)

But if crazy horse did bring the fam, they do have a flume with a 36" height requirement. And it doesn't get you soaked! And it has a better tunnel! And there's free pop! And it snows there all year round! And...

C'mon, I'm trying to help you crazy horse! You have to venture into the soaking wet waterpark for the free sunscreen. Have fun at HW! We went for HWN and are going back for the Fall Affair and taking our little guys with us.

Yea, it is a nice park for familys.

I will be taking the fam later this year. We are going to camp in a tent right next to the park(another thing you can't do at cp).

HeyIsntThatRob?'s avatar

Yeah, we did tent camping for HWN for the first time in a while as we have had a pop-up for 3 years and we've been spoiled. I think we're done with the tent camping as I wasn't too fond of picking a burrowed tick off of me. We're renting an RV at Lake Rudolph. It'll be fun times.

~Rob

crazy horse's avatar

Yea. I am just about to the point where the tent is no longer fun. We do have a really nice air mattress, so it's somewhat nice. My daughter likes it, but I am getting to old to be sleeping in a tent.

I am starting to look at pop ups. Gonna wait till the fall, when everyone is trying to sell them.:)

Disaster transport does NOT let you bring anything with you. How do I know this? I used to work on the ride. We had a few issues with people bringing basket balls on the ride and throwing them at the scenery. Not to mention, if anything got dropped into the track it could stop the shuttle.

Just letting you know, Disaster Transport and Wildcat allow loose articles. I have seen many ladies take their purses and other people take articles. I have heard them say on Disaster Transport that it has to stay below the seat at all times. Cedar Point even said so. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/park/rides/loose_articles.cfm

Well if you heard them say it, it must be true.;)

That page says this.

Loose articles are defined as cell phones, pagers, hats, cameras, stuffed animals, umbrellas, beverage containers, personal entertainment devices, purses, backpacks, etc.

5 of those things you can bring on any ride with you if you have a fanny pack, or cargo shorts. The other few items are very rare to ever have an issue with the exception of stuffed animals and drink bottles.People for the most part were smart enough to not bring a back pack on a ride with them. They would stuff them in the bushes most of the time.

Says nothing about basketballs, or LARGE stuffed animals as I was referring to. I think the umbrella policy has changed. When I worked on the ride, we were not to let guests bring them on the ride. We would pass them over to the unload person, but this did not happen too often, as the ride was closed most of the time it rained out. Beverage containers can be brought on, as long as they are empty. Who carries a purse around in an amusement park besides grandma? I don't think I can ever recall having an issue with someone trying to bring a purse on a ride.

I can go to six flags and find the same thing.

Most of those items can fit into a fanny pack with exception of a backpack and purse. You would not believe how many cell phones we would find crushed in the track every night. Also found a lot of hats and pocket change.

Crazy, I think he was referring to these 2 sections:

This one doesn't mention Disaster Transport.

For safety reasons, purses, backpacks, beverage containers or any other loose articles may not be taken on the following rides: Blue Streak, Lolli Swings, Snoopy Bounce, Woodstock Express, Cedar Downs, Chaos, Corkscrew, Demon Drop, Frog Hopper, Gemini, Kite Eating Tree, Magnum XL-200, Mantis, Maverick, maXair, Mean Streak, Mine Ride, Power Tower, Raptor, RipCord, Skyhawk, Skyscraper, Super Himalaya, Wave Swinger, Wicked Twister and Witches' Wheel. These items may be left in a locker, your vehicle, with a non-rider, or at the owner's risk on the ride platform.

This part, by exclusion above, applies to Disaster.

Loose items may be secured by the rider inside the ride unit on all rides not listed above.

To note, there is an additional section in between dealing with Millennium and Dragster.

This is more acurate list of rides we can ride together as a family. The rest of the rides are kiddie rides, and we all can't fit on them. This it out of the 75 rides they have in the park. Not only that, but she is not into the kiddie rides anymore.

The point is, she can get on much more at other parks, than what she can get on at cedar point.

But we have already been over this....

Can you really call these rides as "family" rides?

You try stuffing yourself into these rides with your child. So much for the "family" riding together.

But again...we have already been over all of this.

Hahaha. I've been on the Submarine, Road Rally, Flying Ace Balloon Race, and Woodstock Express, without a kid. Oh and Woodstocks Whirllybirds. My friend and I spun those things so fast that my gum flew out of my mouth! Good Times :)

I tried getting into a few of those rides last year, and coulden't even fasten the belt. They woulden't let me ride without a seatbelt on the kiddie rides(rolls eyes).

But I have no problem getting on any of the coasters...go figure.:)

Oh, got me good there didn't you? I didn't want to use "friggin" but the other word would get me kicked off PB.

Disaster transport does NOT let you bring anything with you. How do I know this? I used to work on the ride.

Ha! Thats funny (and makes me "laff"), because just last week people were bringing bags and stuffed animals on the ride. The operators just said to have them on the floor of the train. I just put my drawstring bag on the floor and was fine. Maybe the rules have changed since you worked there.

If you actually stopped and read the whole thread, we were talking about bins. I said that I was not sure if mine ride had bins or not.

I'm pretty sure the thread is supposed to be about the height limits until you hijacked it with all your comparisons to Six Flags. When you started to talk about bins you were talking about what rides lets you in line with stuff so you don't have to buy a locker. I was saying that there are a few rides that don't have bins, but still let you take your stuff.
