Then your living in a box.

You need to get out and experiance what other parks have to offer. You may just be suprised.

What I mean is I am fine on where I go. I go to every major park except Six Flags' Parks.

What's wrong with six flags?

They have really gotten there act together in the past few years. I admit, that I used to be one of those six flags bashers, but with all they have done in the parks tha past few seasons that has changed.

If you don't mind me asking, what other parks have you been too?

I wish I could go visit a Six Flags park and see the changes! It seems they have really gotten their act together. Well except the stride gum coasters. :) The last Six Flags I visited was SFWoA. Crazy Horse have you been to Great America, if so how is it? I might be visiting some family in Chicago later this summer.

It's a great park

It's one of the cleanest parks I have been to. I would rank it up there with holiday world when it comes to cleanleness.

They have a great ride line up as well.

If you go, they sell discounted tickets online. They also sell them at some of the hotels in the area. If you need a hotel, just let me know and I can recomend a few to you.

If you buy a season pass, you get a bring a friend free any day of the year coupon, and you get a great coupon book as well. You also save money at any of the gift shops in the park also. Just a sugestion if you plan on going for more than one day of if you plan on checking out another six flags park this year.

They also sell fast pass. This is a system they have set up so that you can skip the lines. I wanna say it was an extra $29? I know it is cheaper if you have a season pass as well.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Crazy Horse. My trip is still in the maybe stage, but it sounds like a pretty good park. Never been to holiday world, but maybe one day too hahaha. How far is Chicago from the park? We would probably be staying at a hotel near downtown if we go.

Not far. It really just depends on traffic. Maybe 45 min.

I forgot to mention that there is a pizza place about a mile down the road from six flags that has killer pizza. The place is called giordanos. Get the stuffed pizza. I drool as I write this.

Hahah thanks. I might just have to go for the pizza now! I love my pizza and nothings better than good pizza and coasters in one trip. I just got back from Virginia Beach and had some great pizza there, now I need some more :)

Six Flags parks look cleaner than they have in years and it finally looks like someone is caring for the landscaping.

Food counters are still slow, but I am glad that most counters / windows are open, rather than having to hunt for the select, magical few open windows like in the recent past.

Ride loading / unloading is overall much faster (compared to 10 years ago), but there are still some rides that seem to load very very slowly.

BUT... the amount of advertising is a turn off. They might not have as many garbage cans as Cedar Fair, but boy do they stand out when they are wallpapered with movie ads. Strange to see several vehicles on midways advertising for Toyota, etc. It reminds me of whatever is in the Carousel of Progress at Disneyland right now... "Step in, and put a payment down for one of our spectacular moooodddullllaarrr homes!"

I was at Six Flags Great America 5-6 years ago, liked that park. I was at Great Adventure, it felt rundown, not clean, and they force you to put your stuff in a locker. That was in 2008 and sorry but I am not going again. Great America is the only really exceptional park in the chain. If only the other Great America were that way. If I am ever in Chicago again I might take a visit but I was at Six Flags World of Adventure, the Six Flags Maryland, Great Adventure, and Great America. As I said Great America was exceptional but all the other ones felt really run down and they were not clean.

And cedar point does not make you put things in a locker? I will keep that in mind next time I want to ride maverick, millennium force, dragster, wicked twister.

The only problem at a six flags park that I have had with making you put things in a locker, was at six flags America.

I have a fanny pack and/or cargo shorts that fit everything I need for the day. I never have an issue at six flags with having to have a locker(minus sfa).

Six flags great adventure is no where near run down. It was a very nice park. Here are some pictures I took from my 2 visits last year.

It was so clean there, that even the security guards were picking up trash as seen here...

I don't really know because I rarelly use them but I think they have bins on both Wicked Twister and Maverick. The only rides I saw that require a locker are Millennium and Dragster.

Great Adventures looks like a nice park too. Dang all these parks I want to visit, but so little time and cash! hahaha

^^The only 2 rides at Cedar Point that don't have bins would be Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force.

Ive never been to Great America (yet) and I have been to SFGrtAdv but I will say SFMM was AMAZING! I went there last August and then again in May and LOVED it! The park was spotless, the employees were all smiles and X2, TS, Tatsu and Goliath rocked! During my trip in May some of the loading was a tad slow but since everything was a walk on who really cared? Its definitely not the same Six Flags we all remember from WOA days!

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

The park looks like a lot of fun. I really hope I can make a trip out there. Thanks crazy horse, those were some really good pics.

Good gosh, OP... cry us a river because your 5 year old can only ride 50 (yes, 50) of the 75 rides at Cedar Point :D

Superman: Ultimate Flight, Batman: The Ride, El Toro, Kingda Ka, The Dark Knight Coaster, Bizarro, & Nitro are all rides that can not have loose articles left past the entrance to those rides.
