So far I've got 500 feet, dueling, underground, water ride/coaster, goes out into Lake Erie, it's red, B&M, 8,000 feet long to be the longest, and its called Maverick. That's going to be one big price tag.

There was something covered in blue tarp that was at CP today...I went up with my friend so he can get his pass. It was by the breakers express covered in blue tarp.

At least we now know what comany we're dealing with.

I still find it hard to believe there is track there already. Stranger things have happened though.

I believe that if it is indeed an Intamin it will probably be the aquatrax coaster that people have been talking about.

My educated guess is a 4-D coaster by either Intamin or S&S. That's my guess, and I'm sticking to it.

I would love to see a 4-D at the point! As long as it don't give CP as many probs as X gave MM.

TerryFriel, yes it is odd how quickly the track is coming to CP. However, I know that the top of Skyhawk came really early too, didn't it? I know it was not this early, but it has happened before.

I don't honestly know how I feel about the new coaster being another intamin. It would seem that after all of the problems with MF, WT, and especially TTD, they would contiune with Intamin. On the flip side, however, Intamin does build some amazing things including the best coaster in the world.

So you never know.....

I hate to be a party pooper, but can we PLEASE move this discussion over to the thread that has been discussing the same thing? Its getting quite annoying having to check two threads for info, usually to find carbon copies with little or no differentiation.

Please, please, please???

what were the main problems with MF...the cable lift.....WT...the LIMS and a few structural problems...TTD...all those damn moving parts, something is bound to go wrong....what if they just did a traditional lift...would those problems go away....what i'm saying is if they stay basic and go old school, it would have as much uptime as a B&M

Am i overlooking something?

Is the MF cable lift unreliable? MF is always running when I'm at the Point, the ride seems just as reliable as Magnum or Raptor.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Thats the way i see it too Pete. The only thing holding that ride down now are those damn seat belts!

The AquaTrax Coasters use LIMs to launch it, Atlantis Adventure is a 4:30 second long ride, so if CP is getting one, it will probably be long, fast, and tall.

The only thing that gets me is the theming....I honestly just do not see CP doing a lot of theming to this ride, whatever it is. Then again, they went all out with theming for TTD so who knows.

The more I read about the aquatrax, I must admit it does seem the most plausible.

Definitely not my first choice, but Im sure whatever it is CP will make it good.

For about 2 months, then the wheels came off.

They "went all out" for the theming on TTD? If that is "all out" then I rather they don't even try on the new attraction(s).

For CP, yes, they went all out.

Listen, they could do better if the chose too. They've had enough time at Knott's Berry Farm to be able to transition some of that to their other parks.

If anyplace on the peninsula screams "THEME THIS AREA" it is the Trail and Frontier Town. I think just slapping coaster track back there (red at that) would be barbarious. And, seeing as how early this is under day I suspect that they may be kicking it up a notch.

I couldn't agree more, Chief. CP certainly has the ability to theme it up a bit.

And, yes, I know "the rides are the theming". ;)
