Did you happen to think it may mean that the most common "theories" of what's going on back there may not be the truth?
Everyone says "Coaster!" or "Water ride!" Anyone happen to think it's neither?
Have you guys ever thought that this could be like a whole new section of the park? It could be like what happened at SFGADv with El Toro. They built a whole new section with a roller coaster and kiddie rides. They could mean that they are adding a couple roller coasters(big and kiddie) and possibly a few flatrides as well as shops, bathrooms, restaurants, and extend that midway to meanstreak.

The newest pics that have been posted online almost prove it will be a coaster or a water ride of some sort. Footers like that would not be for anything else; they are too spread out for a flat ride. They do not tell us what type of ride it will be, but it is certainly a ride.

With what I saw just today (and what we'll see saturday).....It HAS to be one or the other.

Again I have to say (hoping that this would somehow be reality): Mean Streak will be revamped with a new layout. Put 1 coaster together with another. When it comes to the "The path always taken is not necessarily the best." I think that they may mean the current path of the Mean Streak track.
I will probably eat my words, but it is worth speculating.
Blue people fly sideways when it rains
but like someone else said, there could be way more to it. i mean come on, why else would they have footings done for a ride over a year in advance if they didn't have something else to occupy their time next winter?
its definitely not just one ride. i'm convinced. and i construct things for a living, so i know what construction schedules look like.
I've heard from sources that the area has been "flooded" and they believe that the ride, whatever it is, will be mostly over water. Hence them keeping the old loading/unload station? A western theme?
Possible Maverick name fits RIGHT in - in the frontier town area + old loading platform + water .... lots to think about...
Still doesn't point me in the right direction, BUT with Kinzel's last year, I think he'll leave with a BANG. Coaster. I don't believe at ALL that it will necessarily tall... (500 ft? yeah RIGHT...) just a great coaster, exciting, etc.
ANyone agree?
The path taken is not neccasarly the best hmmmm I was there on sunday and I was shocked by the amount of work done. I think were in for somthign the world has never seen. Its going to be interesting and dont worry Kinsel wont leave us empty handed

After seeing the pics at ************* Im not sure how anyone can think its anything but a coaster. I'll have a better look Saturday, but come on, this is CP we're talking about. That huge turnaround over the Swan Boat pond? Imagine a floorless doing an over-inverted turn there...or...a water ride putzing along at 6 mph there....which sounds like more fun?
As much as I'm not much of a person for flying coasters, I think that flying over the water like that would be pretty cool.

I think this thread is specific to the most recent post on the CP Blog, dated today (May 3rd). They are teasing us again, and I think it's interesting to hear others opinions. Personally I would enjoy just hearing the details, enough teasing...but they seem to enjoy teasing us...so be it.
Well, you can think what you want. But, there is nothing here you are discussing that isn't being discussed here:

I have heard that indeed it is an intamin AG coaster...so I am thinking floorless and flyers are out!
2+2
Ok, Intamin and B&M were once the same company.
We know that B&M would cost a ton to take it very high, say over 300 foot. What if Intamin built the lift and B&M did the rest of the ride??
I know, I'm dreaming, but it'd be nice.
I think its lame of CP to post so much stuff about "Project 2007" and then say "we're not going to answer any questions" on it. If you don't want to talk about it, why even bring it up in the first place? I actually like what they did (or didn't do) with TTD. They just kept quiet until they announced the whole thing. Seems like they got way more hype - for free - with that method. :)
Dgenx, what an interesting theory - lol - I agree it's quite a dream and it would be nice.
2+2=4D imo. And the train will be the best vehicle to view the construction.
I will say the turn in the pond could just as easily be low like RoS at SFDL, as it could be high like Mantis. How about a ravern turn over the water !
I do have to admit, a dual flyer over water would be one hell of a ride as well.
The problem - capacity for both ride types are low.
How about an Intamin mega looper interaction with MF over on the island?

"The path always taken is not necessarily the best?"
Well, if the path isn't the best, then revamp it. :) A new Frontier Trail area.
It's going to be two different duelers. One dueler is a floorless and the other either a 500+ foot duelers or a duel flyer. 07 is the year for CP for sure.
Bring back Boblo!
