Sandcastle Registration Gal 2003
What you'll do first is go to the Human Resources office (HR) and give them your contract, your documentation (birth certificate, social security card, etc.). You'll wait while the clerk goes through your file to make sure you have all the paperwork turned in that allows you to work. You may have to sign some forms, and they will give you an overview of the things you need to complete that day; show you locations on the park map where you need to go, etc. You may be assigned a time to meet for an orientation session later in the week -- new employees can expect something like this. Next, you'll scoot on down the line and get your picture taken for your ID; it prints out automatically so they'll hand you that and you're on to your next stop. (When they print out your ID, check the barcode on the back to make sure the lines aren't broken -- if they are, let one of the clerks know because you might have problems with it and they can print you a new one).
The next place you'll visit is wardrobe, where you get to wait in another long line to get your uniforms. The clerks will ask you what department you work for and get you the appropriate outfits, then you have to try them on and "model" them for the clerk to make sure they fit right. You may have to purchase a few little accessory-type things here that aren't re-used year after year (for example, a belt), but don't worry, you don't need money because they'll take it right out of your first paycheck if you want.
Next, you'll check into Housing. Depending on where you want to live, you may have to get back in your car and drive all the way off-Point again. You'll go to the Housing office of wherever you want to live and wait in yet another line for your room and key. Then you can cart all of your things into your room and meet your new roommates.
In between all this somewhere you also will be checking in with your department to let them know you've arrived and getting your first schedule.
I know this sounds like a lot of stuff to remember, but don't worry, everyone is very helpful at HR and they will explain it all to you so that you're certain of what you have to do. As well, you'll be getting a list of instructions with your contract that will tell you what you need to bring along to process in.
Good luck!
