I don't even think we really need things like pools, hot tubs, etc. at CP because unlike Disney we have free access to Soak City less than 5 minutes away. Disney employees have to pay (reduced rate) to go to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. Asking for things like pools or hot tubs or tennis courts might be pushing it but I think asking for new housing/apartments with two people per room is reasonable.
I agree that we don't really need those items (which was why I never mentioned them) for the same reason.
We have free access to the water park and beach, with the vollyball nets, hot tubs, swiming, ect.
But I do think that better housing would be a great help to making hte employees feel better about working there, and in turn making them treat the guests better also.

When I worked at Disney we had free access to the waterparks (I think they have changed that though) but I didn't go that often. I used the pools all the time. It was a 5 minute walk from my room to the pool and it was open late too. In fact, I met many nice women at the pool and there was no chance they would be park/resort guests.

I can see that as a bonus right there. Sure CP employees have free access to Soak City, but having to share it with the GP would be a negative to it, Especially if there is an employee pool/spa right by the dorms.
I could see this as being more of an insurance issue than anything else though. Alcohol + Pool + college age kids seems to be a recipe for disaster.

When was the last pay raise for regular CP employees? It was 6.25 when I worked there in 2001!

Yeah, it was 6.25 in 2001. Pretty sad it has not even gone up by a little since then.

You can't contract STDs from a swimming pool you knucklehead. If you could, what makes you think that Soak City and the resort pools would be any safer?

I had a roomate that got off on the idea of nice soft toilet paper. Going from good toilet paper to Cedar Point's product is like going from paper towel to sand paper.
I'm sure if you wipe enough times you could make your arse raw. I'm sure there are a few laywers capable of convincing a Jury that it's cruel punishment.
Hey it's the little things in life that make us happy...i'm just saying a little softer ply would be nice...thats it just a general comment...lol

Can someone change the name of this thread from "Pay Rate for 06" to "Hey, what kind of toilet paper do you like best?"?

Those who blame the toilet paper when you are already raw from working a couple O/C 's in a row and your skin is irritated already. I had to baby powder down everyday otherwise I walked really funny towards the end of the day.
