Cedar Point Man said:"What Time is the 10 O Clock Laser Light Show"
OK...I worked two full seasons at CP and NEVER had anyone ask me that!
On the other hand, I DID have a lot of "Are you tall enough," "Will I get wet?" and "Does this ride go upside down?"
My favorite was when they asked the last one on Thunder Canyon. I wanted to say "Only in a worst-case scenario" but the Sups kind of vetoed that one.
Hah, I remember a few things:
Favs: Thunder's bird colonies, and the issues surrounding them. Free entrance to the park. Louies. Co-workers.
No: O-C's during weekends, and the few weeks before. Living in Cedars for the first half of the season. Pay.
Though I do remember being asked "Will I get wet" when working Thunder. And when that happened, I would "lead" the raft in an appropriate direction. And they would come back the wettest. ( I was good at my job, lol. ) Too many memories, and too few pictures. Especially for the events that deserved them most.

Oh yeah, the birds...that was just horrible. It was only an issue for me my last season, but it happened every day, and no one on my crew was exempt. Eventually I started taking a different route, having to go 15 minutes out of my way just to get to my station in the morning. What a gigantic pain in the neck.
Ah, yes. The birds. Those black birds with little stripes of orange would hide in the low zone almost every morning and wait for one of our crew members to come change the lock...and bam! they just launch an all out attack on you.

They liked to attack the sweeps too. It was always funny to watch the birds attack the guests and sweeps while sitting at Power Tower entrance.
Funny to watch? Yeah...it was a real hoot. Seriously, trying to do your job but being constantly on edge and anxious because of those stupid birds always lingering there...NOT FUN. It was so freaking stressful, and made the job even more torturous than it already was. Have you ever gotten attacked by one of those birds? And on a daily basis no less? If so then I doubt you would laugh at others who were having that misfortune. Not trying to be mean, but it honestly is far from funny.
Hee. You were lucky! Did they attack down by Power Tower? The main problem seemed to be in the plaza area by Millenium Force. Although my first ever experience was walking though Camp Snoopy. Talk about putting the fear of God into someone. Going to work was like trying to manuever your way through snipers. I wish there was something Cedar Point could have done about it, because it was horrible.
Wow Kristen, you were lucky. You're right, one of those birds could do some serious harm to a person. Are they still there? I haven't been at the park since '03.

The ones I always saw where by the double loops on corkscrew. They never really attacked anyone (at least that i saw) more than flapping their wings around them. It would just startle people.
In soak city we always had problems with the seagulls attacking us. They kept pecking one guard while we were waxing the slides.
haha! have to apologise to all the people who said they didn't like it when ppl asked them every 2mins when the dragster would be working!! oppss! the last time i was in cedar point queued for hrs and it kept breaking down & then just as we were abt to get on it, it broke down again and never got fixed b4 the park was closing so still never got on it! but yeah i was prob one of those ppl kept asking when it would be working!! hehe! sorry!
My favorite parts: Evenings hanging out in the commons courtyard, ESD trips, ordering chinese delivery many times a week, the lifelong friends I have made, the fact that I can say that I worked at the best amusement park in the world.
Least favorite parts: Lack of privacy in housing, being shortstaffed, O-C's during 11 or 12 oclock closings, gossip, cafeteria food, the old admission uniforms (Pink shirt, green shorts. Got a pic of that if anyone is interested to see that disaster.), and MAYFLIES/MUFFLEHEADS (Who can give me an AMEN on that one.)

I got attacked by those birds once as a guest. I thought it was a freak thing (because I was there in the early morning at CoasterMania) but I guess not.
